What is the correct sequence? >stop and hold foot brake, use handbrake, shift to park >stop and hold foot brake, shift to park, use handbrakerace car larpers can fuck off
>brake>clutch>shift into neutral>handbrake>release clutch and brakeAnything else is for women and redditors.
>>29058154>neutral yeah you failed the man test
>>29058154My park brake doesn't work really great so I put my shitbox in gear to park it.
>>29058156>stalling your engine every time you parkThat's certainly a choice.
>>29058160You are embarrassing.
>>29058162Why would I park in gear?
>>29058172in case your handbrake fails. i've seen it happen multiple times. always park in gear
>>29058174>>29058172>>29058162retard, you put the car back into gear once you turn it off>>29058154is correct or in an auto transmission its neutral, handbrake on, park, car off.
>>29058199waste of time
I don't know, I've never driven an automat.
Imagine having so little in your life that you obsess this much over driving a manual.
>>29058199hey faggot it doesn't fucking matter as long as you leave it in gear when parked. you can put it gear and leave the clutch in then turn it off or put it in neutral, turn it off, then put it in gear, it doesn't make any difference.
>>29058154>clutchLearn to drive fagget
Why on earth would I use my handbrake if I'm not on a slope
>>29058154>redditorsRedditors are obsessed with manuel transmissions though.
>>29058154My reddit detector is off the scales for you. Faggot
Parking break should be engaged before you shift into park. This way the weight of the car will not be resting on the parking prawl.
>>29058461Indeed.
>>29058154You're supposed to leave it in gear.
Leaving it in gear is bad driving habits. They teach you in driving school NOT to do that
>>29058578Maybe in spicville
>>29058147Neither of these affects the end result in an automaticAll that matters is if you let off the brake pedal before engaging the parking brake. If so the car is resting against the parking pawl, if not then the parking brake is holding the vehicle. But contrary to /o/ fuddlore the pawl is not made of eggshells and won't explode unless your car is trash, that said the parking brake still feels better
>>29058156>>29058223>>29058271It matters to turn off in neutral if you drive a real car that requires you to let it idle to cool down/lower oil pressure before turning offOnly NPCs in fleet spec shitboxes immediately shut their car off after stopping
>>29058147>stop and hold brake>shift to neutral>engage hand/parking brake >release brake and let the car settle>shift to park
>>29058892maybe I simply don't care about my car as it's a tool. I'm not sitting in my car for 2 minutes when i want to go inside lmao
The only two things that matters is to hold the foot brake until you hand brake, and to not reengage the transmission until you neutral shift, which can happen before or after you hand brake. Anything else is autism, and everyone who got a license should confidently know.
>>29058147For me its >Brake>Neutral>Parking brake>Let off of foot brake and see if car doesn't roll>Park
Thanks folks
