now that the r6 is discontinued and overpriced, what is the best 600cc bike for track and street on the used market?

Honda, Kawasaki and Suzuki keep the dream alive.

the best street and track bike is honestly the sv650. The 4 cylinder 600 class is kind of a stupid class. No wonder they're like the face of instagram roll racing. The sv650 is way more practical for track days and commuting, and you could probably find aftermarket versions and source used for every part on the bike.

Stay away from honda, they've gone off the globalist deep end since the start of this century, suzuki and kawasaki are still legit (for now)

Automatoc bikes are the future. Fuck buying manual

X2
I'll truly never understand why fuck boys think the R6 was God's gift to streetbikes when the other three are still making what amounts to the same exact thing. Shit, given the choice I think I'd take the Gixxer 600/750 on purpose because it's been the same bike since 2011 so parts support both now and in the future is going to be fantastic.

If you have a hard-on for yamaha, go get the R9 or R1. We're still spoiled for choice on Japanese sportbikes.

Honda won, but it was not because of the e-crutch.
>>29060278
600rr, no I won't elaborate.
>>
>>29061059
When the only records it holds are for "lightweight twins", you know its a shit bike.
>>
The R6 was the worst for the street and probably 80% of track riders either for that matter, it was just faster on the top end than other 600s (and not even a 636) but if that was your concern the GSX-R750 has always existed and dick slaps all of them with the chassis of a 600.
>>
>>29062668
it was by far the best track bike in the 600cc category at the time simply for the second hand and aftermarket support it had
>750cc
sure and a liter bike would dick slap any 750cc bike
that's why you have different classes based on engine configuration
>>
it's still the r6

buy the "track only" model and add some lights and mirrors. wah lah, street legal
>>
>>29062676
That's local circular self fulfilment and still does not matter for most riders, the only big upshot is that the R6 was one of the meme bikes in every region instead of Suzukis only being around in NA, and Hondas being #1 in Asia but considered unraceable in the US somehow but that's only really going to affect you if you have a desperate crash repair situation or really need to rely on setup hearsay anyways.

A liter bike is not 99% parts identical to a 600 and does not MSRP like $600 above a 600.

Track? CFMoto 675SS
Not because it's the fastest, but because it's cheap enough that you can easily another when you crash it, especially when they start hitting the used market more.

easily buy another*
