AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Real monsters!
The new Toyota Rav4 charges extra to get low speed automatic hands free driving, you can only get it in the very top trim for 50k+. In the Kia Sportage/Hoon Tucson I think its basically standard it just auto steers and doesn't make you put your hands on the wheel as long as the road is relatively straight and you are going below 40 mph ish - and you can do this for 10+ minutes at a time there's no limit to the traffic jam assist. One of the car mags found that Kia says you only get "highway driving assist" with the top trims but in reality it basically works the same on all trims though I think the newer models have annoying capacitative steering wheels that make you touch the wheel the whole time though I don't know the exact parameters. But, you definitely get hands free traffic jam assist and it does all the driving in situations like this in most newish kias with adaptive crooz.
>>29061142>hands free traffic jam assistI don't know why, but this sounds rather dystopian
>>29061159have you ever tried having to constantly mash the throttle just a little bit in a slow traffic jam? annoying as hellnice to just be able to sit and breathe, hands in your lapit's not scary AT ALL at low speeds, it's 100% the best use case scenario for autonomous driving
There is no need to be upset.
>>29061133
>>29061164i don't think that's what anon means...you spend $50k on the top trim of an appliance suv so that you can not drive it in a traffic jam to get to a job you need to work to pay off the car.i argue this is why we need trains and buses but /o/ will crucify me because that's bad for some incoherent, foaming at the mouth reason
motorcycles win again. now cope.
>>29061394No, I don't want to live in a city with a bunch of poors taking the bus. Suburb life is the best.
>>29061394>argue this is why we need trains and buses but /o/ will crucify me because that's bad for some incoherent, foaming at the mouth reasonyou misunderstand the real reason behind individual car ownership. car ownership isolates people from the consequences of the civil rights movement and associated laws. so does suburban homeownership. in fact, probably 70% of the American economy revolves around avoiding Civil Rights Americans and their behavior. car culture is a symptom and trying to replace it with public transit culture ignores the root issue
>>29061129>tfw living rural; on some acreage, outside a small town of 10k, 45 miles from a small city of 240kNow i understand why people who experience a daily reality like OP's pic are so angry and hostile. Jesus Christ, and to think like 50% of the cars on that road are being driven by various shades of brown.
>>29061394because trains and buses run on a fixed schedule and a fixed route and that's not convenient for most, and if someone is being loud or disruptive on the ride, you will not have a good time + a lot easier to get sick sharing cars like that
>>29061409For deracinated, atomized goy cattle yes.
>>29061409>t. foaming at the mouthyou don't need to take the bus, you can sit in traffic, buses and trains are for other people who aren't asocial, hate driving, hate traffic, or are poor, although an intersuburb commuter line will likely have very few poor people on it.>>29061415suburban homeownership, and by extension car culture, is mostly due to cities being a horrible place to live for 99% of human history. only in the last 75 years has it become feasible to live outside of the city for most middle class people, and they understandably left because of the crime, hygiene, etc. those have all been solved now. remember, we are living in the safest time in the history of america. notably, the suburb boom started before the civil rights movement. and to your point about black people, how come places with good public transit have high ridership? look at philly, nyc or even chicago, they have huge portions of people of color, but ridership is high anyways. could it be that most people would prefer to be mildly inconvenienced by a minority once every few years than sit in traffic for hours every day? people who've tried it quickly realize their fear of minorities is manufactured by the news cycle, and no one is going to try public transit that doesn't exist/isn't useful>>29061424trains and buses can run on a schedule that is convenient for people, though. commuter rail works incredibly well, it runs around 9 am, stops during the work day, then runs around 5pm. i've used commuter rail, it's fucking awesome. you can sit on your phone for your commute instead of start stop traffic. someone is being annoying? noise cancelling headphones. sickness? wear a mask if you're that worried about sickness. in reality though you'll probably be much healthier by taking the train because your body will experience and successfully fight off more illnesses over time.
>>29061425>Nooo you don't understand goy, it's ultra based and redpilled if everyone was piled into 250 sqft rented bugboxes in 80 floor skyscrapers by the millions! Imagine how easy it would to be to control you at that point!
>>29061478>commuter rail works incredibly well, it runs around 9 am, stops during the work day, then runs around 5pmMy shift is 6 am to 2 pm you fucking retard.
>>29061488okay then you don't take commuter rail and drive like you already do? you probably don't have traffic anywhere near as bad as OP's pic. this thread is not about (You)
>>29061492What you aren't getting is driving a car is inherently better than public transit. The majority will not use public transit unless effectively forced to do so via being poor, terrible traffic, taxes on private vehicles etc.People, generally speaking, aren't against public transit wholesale or improving the exist public transit. They are just aware that what the proponents of such are really after, which is taking away cars. Public transit is really a non-factor in the debate and it's just about leftists wanting to grind the working class (especially white) down out of self-hatred and spite.Further, they're aware of what large expansion projects invariably mean, taxes being raised and "temporary" taxes that never actually go away.
>>29061478Kill yourself.
>>29061507half of my coworkers use public transit to get to work every day. they all have cars, but prefer wathcing a youtube video on a train to sitting in traffic, because both options take about as long. i'd take public transit to work too, if i didn't live in the undeveloped part of the city where my only option is a bus, which takes longer than driving.>grind down the working classthe working class would benefit the most from fast public transit because it's cheaper than owning a car, let alone two.>large expansion projects invariably mean, taxes being raisedin a just world, taxes being raised on the rich. but also, public transit is cheaper per person per mile than car based infrastructure. it costs half a million dollars to install a single intersection's traffic lights. not the paving, just the lights. most suburban towns have actually declared bankruptcy from how ridiculous the cost of maintaining roads is.i will say, i do agree that the government will use public transit as an excuse to raise "temporary" taxes. but that's why we vote! once the buses are built you can be part of the pressure to lower those taxes back down.
>>29061519i love you
>>29061542>half of my coworkersEpic anecdote.>the working class would benefit the mostThe working class benefits the most from cheap private transit. Vastly expands the areas in which they can work and purchase goods.>public transit is cheaper per person per mileLmao. Do you have any idea how much it would cost to replace all roads with rail lines?>but that's why we vote! You're an idiot.
>>29061129>MLK blvdTell me you're in a high crime area without telling me you're in a high crime area.
>>29061142You just settled it. My next vehicle purchase is a carbureted squarebody.
>>29061542>just rip out 100 years of infrastructure and start from scratch, bro! Move to Europe if you can't get over how this country works, homo.
>>29061556>cheap private transitdoesn't exist. in my city, which has fairly good public transit, using that costs:unlimited transit pass in my city: $105/mo, $1260/yrtax to fund transit: $202/yr, total transit budget is 685M, with 3.38M people living in the state as of 2022, assuming all of this comes from tax (it doesn't)total: $1462/yr-------average used car payment: $531/mo, $6372/yraverage insurance payment: $2555/yraverage gas: $201/mo, $2412/yraverage repair & maintenance cost: $838/yrroad cost: $616/yr, based off FY2022 road costs. i only counted state tax and tolls. federal is not included here, but is the vast majority of the road funding for my state (~70%).total: $12793/yrcheap transit is possible, easy, and really fucking cheap. if you consider nearly $13k a year for private transit cheap (a cost that in most places is functionally a mandatory expense due to poor public transit), then you are not working class.>vastly expands the areastrue, but i bet most people don't want this. most people don't want to drive 1 hour when the things you need could be 15 mins away. this can actually be reality in the suburbs too, through mixed use development. and, mixed use development will lower your taxes because businesses will contribute more. the lack of mixed use design in suburban areas is what causes so many suburbs to have to declare bankruptcy>you're an idiotin my city people have been voting for public transit, and our network has been growing. they're building new train lines as we speak, so idk what you mean by i'm an idiot for being pro-voting? like is that a controversial take? do you genuinely not believe that you can vote for politicians that will lower taxes?>replace all roads with rail lines>>29061604>rip out 100 years of infrastructurewhere did either of you get this idea from. no one meaningful is advocating for removal of roads. i'm not advocating for removal of roads, how tf would i drive my car? this is /o/, still.
>>29061394>i argue this is why we need trains and buses but /o/ will crucify me because that's bad for some incoherent, foaming at the mouth reasoni hope we get a lot more public transit. do i intend to use it? no, but the more people that do the less cars are on the road making my commute better. i don't understand why retards don't get this
>>29061129
>>29061542>they all have cars, but prefer wathcing a youtube video on a train to sitting in traffic, because both options take about as longmeanwhile my coworkers prefer the car because they're not packed like sardines in the buses and trains
>>29061129i'd be like that too if i was stuck behind that rear end
>>29061737yea fair, your local government should probably invest in public transit more so that your coworkers can take buses and trains in comfort. if their problem with transit is it being packed, an investment into this clearly very popular service will benefit a lot of people!
so why do you need a car with 300 HPs again?
>>29061816i don't, i need a lifted crew cab long bed truck with 4wd and 600hp to go to walmart.
>>29061816Why do you need a cock and balls? Not like you'll ever use them anyway
>>29061686Kill yourself, as I said.
>>29061841only if you do with me uwu
>>29061815how much money will it cost to make sure i never see a brown person or someone on drugs while riding one
>>29061882the same amount of money it costs to never see a brown person or someone on drugs at the grocery store.people on drugs can be solved by functional policing btw, but you'll have to pay more in taxes for that
>>29061885the parts of the nation with the most extreme taxes have the highest amount of drug addicts and brown people
>>29061905the parts of the nation with the most extreme taxes have the lowest police officers per capita.

>>29061841Haha what a pathetic response
>>29062041what board do you think you're on?
>>29061686Why don't you stop being poor and make more money?>$12k a yearWho cares? That's under 3% of my income. I get to live in nice area, good schools, <1% black demographic, 20 minutes drive to work, garage and driveway so no street parking, everything is within 25 minute drive, packages don't get stolen, and have fun places to drive my Porsche around fairly close.Last 3x I took the train out subway there was smelly homeless people and one was masturbating.
>>29062130What is this grotesque creature?
>>29062041>local community>piled into 250 sqft rented bugboxes in 80 floor skyscrapers by the millionsAre you fucking retarded?

>cagecucksMove the fuck over out of the motorcycle lane.
>>29061424when I was in Japan they have trains and busses that run every 5-10 minutes. I never had to wait more than a couple minutes for public transit. and because the jews haven't infiltrated their politics, they are an actual first world country so you're not sitting in shit and garbage. When I did rent a car the roads were empty because there's no point in driving when your train goes 300km/h. It's absolute peak.

>>29062130i make enough money for a car, i also have a porsche. johnny who works at the factory, who's wife is a waitress, does not. i want my fellow white man to be successful and able to lead a comfortable life, even if it is without a car. if you can't get behind supporting the white working class, you are a race traitor.
