>>29062678Every auto I ever drove had a kickdown feature, where if you punch the pedal all the way down it goes to the lowest available gear, skipping if it has to.Basically you get good view around your overtake target, wait til it looks safe, then punch the pedal and hold it at max throttle until you pass, die, or your engine blows.I've never died or blown an engine doing this.

the real problem is that they cant let off the throttle to engine brake and get back to a regular speedimagine if you will>car in front of you you want to passbut>car on side of you slightly behind, and a car in front of him too, so theres just enough space for you to get around the car in front of you by getting between the two on his upper and back sidesto really make it through a tight spot you have to speed up, slow down, lane change, maybe speed up and slow down again, lane change, speed up to give the guy some room unless you feel like an asshole, then slow down again unless you didnt do the last speed up to give them some room. for manual all you have to do is be in the powerband and you can do all this smoothly with very predictable results using only the throttle since you have engine braking automatic niggers basically just cant do any of this when theres more than enough room for a decent manual driver because its too dangerous and impossible for them to finesse through and when they do have enough room they have to slam the throttle then slam the brakes or just go flying through it all with zero finesse like insane negroidic protohumans

>>29063871the old 540 had this and it was so much fun, probably the best featureum passing isnt a big deal the transmission will serve you a pretty low gear if you floor itnow, for hills and winding curves/hairpin turns - I keep it in manual mode and serve up a much lower gear than the transmisssion would because its a gutless 4banger with no low end torque
