What automotive uses can you think of for a drill press? I noticed a lot of workbenches have them but I'd always assumed they were mainly a woodworking tool. I think doing rust repairs you could use it for any holes where fasteners, clips etc; are supposed to go. The main idea is that it doesn't slip or move like a hand drill, so you get precision right?

You've never had to hand fit a part? You could de-burr with a brush and that is also a solution for rust, but body work? Routing electrical. Idk a million things. Stuff you can use a drill for but not sloppy?

I'd treat them more as a helping hand that drills holes into things.
