Why are millennials obsessed with egg shaped cars? What is with this obsession over blobshit?
Most normal people want sharp angles and a defined form, not the cucked abominations from the mid 2000s-2010s.

Anon most normal people don't give a shit
>>
>>29065170
there's no obsession, egg shape is what regulation requires. Even cars that look to have sharp angle are rounded like eggs close up
>why not make it like that then
cause that requires more work and consoomers don't care
>>
Why do you care? You sit back here anyways. Fucking starting a thread off a screenshot, Jesus.

Normal people notoriously have garbage taste anon

Millennials preferences singlehandedly ruined car design

Aerodynamics to meet increasingly impossible MPG requirements. Also because they don't want us killing pedestrians as easily even though they deserve it for walking around in traffic like a bunch of retarded faggots.

you that upset over the mazda 3 thread that you took a shitty grainy screencap of the image they used and seethe about it.

the mazda 3 is one of the best commuter cars on the current day market. its one of the few you can still get with a manual as well, affordable, good MPG, good ass pain tons of buttons not a giant ugly ass ipad that is fuckin your eyes at night.

the shape is for MPG 100% and honestly i kinda like the look of it.

I find sedan much better looking...

Thats best answer in this thread. Pedestrian safety is also one reason why cars headlights are built from plastic, not glass anymore. The non-spoken benefit of the 2002+ non-boxy-body-shape cars aerodynamics redirects the wind/air away from the car, thats what has reduced amounts of insects getting hit by cars windshields because the redirected air at windshield area basically throws many of the insects up or sides of the car so more of the insects will survive instead of getting killed or injured.

Car design exists on a pendulum.
Turn of the century cars were very boxy
Around the 30s they started getting curvy and blobby.
By the end of the 60s they started getting flatter and boxier.
Throughout the 80s they were boxy as fuck.
Then in the late 90s they started getting round again.
And now we're seeing every thing go back to being flat and boxy.
In 20 years they'll all be blobs again.
Basically all of human nature is trying not to be like your parents. Whenever people get old enough to buy a car they don't want to buy a car like the one their parents had. So every generation car design reflects that

How's that all these regulations not common knowledge on a fucking car board of all places? Crumple zones have been ballooned like crazy, I read a long time ago that a car should crumple even if it hits a soft tissue object like a human or animal, acrylic headlamps to prevent shards, all of these were mandated like 15+ years ago
>>
I hate normalfags so much its unreal. We could have had square cars all along but the absolute cattle that are normalniggers wanted eggshit so thats what we have been getting for 20 years. Only now did we return to square. Total eggshit death.

It is common knowledge but people don't understand how they actually work. Cars aren't egg shaped because of pedestrian safety regulations. If they were, how would non-egg shaped cars exist? How does the Rav4 go from being egg shaped to boxy? How does the Escape get turned into the Bronco Sport? The Civic used to be an actual literal egg and now it's, well it's not boxy but it's just normal car shaped. Also, OP is specifically upset about the rear part of the car. How does that affect pedestrian safety? Clearly, there are other factors at hand. It's the same situation when people with crossover derangement syndrome start crying about cafe killing cars and the poor widdle manufacturers being forced by the big evil government to build crossovers. But if that were true then how does Honda and Toyota and Hyundai manage to still sell sedans? It's almost like it has very little or even nothing to do with regulations. The Wrangler gets a poor rating in pedestrian safety every year and they just say fuck it and sell it anyway.

Yeah they just buy what ever bullshit they're handed. You could put a literal turd on wheels that comes with apple car play and some stupid fuck will still buy it.
>>
It's nice when cars have roundness and contours with a few sharp edges. When done right it's very sexy.

False, look at the current gen Prius or Civic. No faggy reddit egg shape.
