Somehow I missed the existence of Q50's up until now or must've written them off in my mind as being like 4500 lbs or something (they aren't light, but not Yacht levels of boat). Not only is it the modern day Western rebadge of the JDM Nissan Skyline, but with the original VQ engine they appear to be pretty bulletproof and reliable. Also for some reason they depreciate like an absolute stone and are somehow cheaper than a clapped Mazda 3, which is what led to me being interested in getting one for a cheap daily.The biggest problem I'm running into right now is there doesn't seem to be a white person on this earth selling one, especially the early VQ powered models that are most reliable. Every damn Marketplace ad is sold by a Habibi, Illegal Mexican, or total hoodrat nog.Now, I know damn well when these were new they were all bought by white accountants or something, so how I do I get one of those where he's just selling it because owning a car outside of warranty is scary and nevermind he's eating $30k in depreciation from new to avoid a $1000 repair here or there?I really can't think of a car I want more as a daily, I'm done with low roof sports cars for a daily, I want a back seat, I want RWD, and I want decent power and it's either the Q50 or a dealer-maintenance nightmare from BMW or a drastically overpriced (and ugly) Lexus. I don't mind the automatic as all of my weekend cars are manuals. I've heard thefts are easy-ish in these cars, but theft is easy in a lot of cars and most of the thefts were inflated from fleet vehicle thefts.

The VQ is bulletproof and this is just going to be a daily, and once this car is super old I could grab a 10 year newer late build and by then the turbo situation will be figured out or something else will be in the market that's better.The twin turbo is a hell of a good deal, though. It's rated at 300hp but it's actually more like 300whp. If the turbos lasted longer I would probably go that route.
