They could manufacture them with a "truck cam" which is basically what the commercial version is which would move the power and torque band down lower but you typically lose power and TQ when you do that. In consumer pickups it's just better to let the engine spin and make more power and let the 10 speed deal with it. Sure you could throw a tiny turbo or two on the V8 and have a wall of low end torque but then you're making a gasser complex with defeats the purpose of going the gas route over a diesel. I'm curious what the new Cummins 6.7 gasoline version will be like. It's definitely got the power and torque bands you're looking for.
