I bought this car last year, got it for MSRP + $5,000 off deal. I love it, but it sounds kind of weak. I went full retard and bought a bunch of NISMO shit: track exhaust, air intake, heat exchanger, sway bar, some lighting accessories just for shits and giggle. Total invoice: $10k not including service (should be about $1,200).

This is and will probably the only car I will ever own in my life before I perish from this planet. I just want to have fucking fun before it all ends. What else should I add to this stupid setup? Downpipes? Blow off valves? Michelin PS 4S?

Incurable neurological disease (search ALD/AMN). Affects my spinal cord, so anything below the belt is just going to slowly become spaghetti. It is what it is.

Sorry but doesn't that mean you'll also not be able to drive the car then...?
>>
>>29070928
Yeah. It's a ticking time bomb. Nobody knows when it'll kick in. Been living with this fear all my life, but it never stopped me from doing the things I love (i.e. it was never an excuse for not doing shit).
>>
>>29070930
BRUH. How do you know it'll lead to death though and not just legs not working?

OP is a lying faggot.
But I believe it.
Put some A052 or re71RZ tires on it.
>>
>>29070931
I get MRIs every year. They detect if there are any "white spots" in my brain. When that happens, we'll know. We'll just know. Right now it's just spaghetti legs yeah.

A052 arn't track tires, so don't use them for that

$64,000 with financing for 60 months at 5.99%. This is for the Performance model by the way. I put a dumb fucking down of $30k like a dumbass (first car, mistakes were made... could have invested with that amount especially when gold was booooming), I have very low payments every two weeks. Also, look at dat ass, the best part of this car IMO.
>>
>>29071078

I mean... I did say it was probably my last car, but I had social securities and that shit is not bad at all. The monthly payment is almost as good as working a shitty desk job, but with the benefits of staying home and just riding my car whenever I want. No insurance though, but meh

Nope, automatic is faster. I plan on going on track. Don't care about resale value, besides autos are selling for a higher price anyways. It's not a rare car, who cares.
P.S.: going manual on paddle shifters is as fun as a real manual. Try it out sometimes

the slushbox in the z is pretty slow though.
you should avoid autos unless it’s a zf8 or good dct

That's a nice deal. In 5 years time severe inflation will make that price look like chump change. And yeah the color and back shot is wonderful.

DCTs are great but autos really aren't meant for performance cars. My roadtripper has an 8 speed auto with "manual mode" and it is definitely not as fun as an actual manual, or even a DCT.
>>
>>29071279
that gauge cluster is absolutely hideous
>>
>>29071403
even dcts suck, cant pick the right gear, downshits for you so no torque pulls, denies shifts especially during downshifting. theres just no point in a sports car.
>>
I don’t believe you.
$10k for an intake, exhaust, oil cooler, and sway bars?
I’ve done all of those things to cars with nice parts for $1k or less. What are you doing? Are you single and childless dying of a terminal illness?

My man I'm not lying, the receipt is here >>29070938. It's NISMO, so I pay a premium for "good" reason, maybe? I dunno man, who cares it's just money. I saw the Z1 and AMS stuff, cool yeah, but I wanted OEM shit. Plus, yes while I'll also be getting my service, I'm making them install everything. They won't pay more than 8 hours, we cool.

I'm not dying in at least probably 6 more years. Could go beyond 42 years old, I'm 36 now. It's chill.

All these cars run good auto transmissions for maximum lap times you stupid ass underaged spic. I'm not saying I have a GT3 or F1 car, even less a GT, but I'm preparing for the inevitable when I myself will own a supercar that has a good DCT or that Porsche PDK. I'm manifesting it.

You can't even buy this car in Europe anymore. I don't think it passes emissions regulations. It's still a naturally aspirated V8 right?
>>
>>29071616
V6 twin-turbo. Still the based VR30 platform. I'm surprised you can't get the new model.
>>

Coincidentally I’m also 36 with a terminal illness. Almost took me out last year, spent a week in the ICU. Thankfully I can maybe last another decade (maybe two!) as long as I give every cent I make to the pharma cos and insurance agencies but I’m technically not allowed to drive (I do).
I hope you enjoy that car to the fullest but I don’t have any knowledge of it specifically to give.
>>
>>29071965
idk about in other countries but in the US the new Zs were selling so poorly that cars were sitting on lots well past their model year so you could get pretty good deals on cars they were just trying to finally move
with the facelift model they've switched to producing based on demand and customer orders so it'll probably go back to ridiculous dealer markups with scarce inventory
you can't even get the new 2027 Nismo manual because they were all spoken for before the new model year came out
>>
>>29072073
Exactly this. The dude said my Z was being thrown around left and right between dealers in my region for 6 months trying to get it out the showroom. It had 93 miles on it.

Also, Nissan usually has a lot of offers every now and then https://www.nissanusa.com/shopping-tools/deals-incentives-offers.html. Last year they were literally selling all 2024 models for even cheaper than what I bought mine even giving $7,500 off on leases or financing.
>>
>>29071977
Thanks dude I appreciate it, and the car a lot! And good luck with whatever shit you have. Life is fucking tough for no reason for some of us folks, but I feel like at least we have this knowledge or privilege to get to enjoy and appreciate the little things we have in life more than others.

>ALD/AMN

Cool. I think one of my rooommates in the Navy had this. They told him he was wearing his boots wrong, because he was losing feeling in his toes, but eventually he pushed them to have an actual doctor look at him. Then they realized it was some kind of degenerative nerve disease. He was using a cane a while later. And after that he was looking to get a walker. He was supposed to end up in a wheelchair at some point.

Once the Navy confirmed it wasn't their fault, they kicked him out, without giving him disability. It was pretty fucked, desu.
>>
>>29072476
Damn that sucks. That shit disease needs to stop spreading, that's why I'm not having children ever ever even if the chance of my child contracting it would be 50/50 (100% if female, 0% if male because it's the X chromosome that is mutated).

Can't he still apply via government means for disability in America? I know in my country (I'm a Leaf, yeah...), it's pretty easy. Just ask your doctor to fill some shit document, send them to the government portal, and boom get 10 past years of tax returns money ($1,000 minimum per year if you had a decent job) plus a nice "discount" on future tax returns and a monthly NEET bux check on top of other benefits. I'm eating good.
>>
>>29072486
Yeah. He can get regular disability. But with the Navy's he'd get around $54k/yr. Plus, there are perks for buying houses or getting federal jobs for disabled vets.

We call it "E5 for life", since it seems like a pretty good deal. Before they kick someone out for medical reasons, they do what they can to avoid having to pay all of that out.
