I have trust issues on the road because I see so many idiots that don't know basic rules in the roundabouts or intersection rules.

I never trust the other person not being a retard. How do I mitigate this?

It just means your survival instincts are working properly, don't let anyone else tell you otherwise.
Always assume everyone on the road is blind deaf dumb and retarded, and you are the only person with eyes that can see. That goes double if you live around minorities.

don’t mitigate it. that’s how you’re supposed to think while driving.

you can't trust idiots because they're idiots and therefore untrustworthy, as soon as you trust them you will regret it
