how much does a pinhole leak in a fuel hose drop system pressure

I live 2 miles from that guy in your pic. I see him all the time.

Can you just throw any muffler under a car?
my car has ripped 2 mufflers, just a poorly designed exhaust by ford imo
Currently have it straight piped but the droning is just too much at cruising speeds

its a n/a 100bhp engine, so not a performance engine, i cant imagine the pressure in the exhaust being extreme enough to warrant a special spec muffler

Basically yeah, get something similarly shaped to OEM and it'll be fine. They're all rated for a certain amount of flow, back pressure, and noise reduction. for a pedestrian shitbox none of that really matters.

Can you weld? because U-clamps aren't really the way to go. If the pipe sections are rusted, you should probably just replace those too.

Know a guy who can weld (same one who welded the straight pipe in)
i would prefer to be lazy and u-clamp it, but its probably gonna leak if i have to sleeve + clamp it

I got a job offer as a scooter mechanic. Before I just quit my job and jump on that is there anything about the mechanic industry I should be aware of that might make me reconsider?
>>
>>29075058
Where exactly? In India or Italy?

You should talk to an actual mechanic about it face to face.
I also considered it as a career and I was told in no uncertain terms to avoid mechanic work at all costs, rather do sales or service advisor or office work, literally anything else than swinging wrenches. I took that advice and I now make twice what the mechanic I talked to does at half his age.

It's been a while since I started this car (porsche 951) but I can't remember -- I assume no, but would you expect the headlights to dim or turn off completely when you try to start the car? Engine won't turn over, I don't think I hear the starter, so either I reattached the starter wrong or there is some other short or draw to where the accessories and headlights etc work until I try to start it, and then it ... doesn't lol

I should mention also that the battery is new, although I guess it could be dead; battery tender reports it at 14 V though.

What should I do to diagnose?

United states. I will be dealing mostly with little single cylinder machines. How bad can it really be?
>>
>>29075142
Turning the key should dim the headlights.
if the starter doesnt click it might be kaput, otherwise you could give it wack and see if it turns
>>
>>29075171
They go like completely out until I release the key
>>
>>29075214
Yeah they do that on my car too, iirc it had to do with potentially burning out the lightbulbs due to the high current demand from the starter, so its by design

Afaik lights dimming when cranking means the battery is weak and can't run both lights and the starter. Get a battery tester and measure CCA.

Im looking for a part number.
The part : Transmission radiator coolant connector
Car : Mercedes cla 180 2020 model c118
See pic related.
Do not force me to make my own thread.

I think that this only happens during extended cranking with a weak battery

For context I drive volvo, I always have my lights in the on position (when I take they key out the lights turn off)
When I turn my key to start the glow plugs on my TDI the lights come on. But when I crank the lights turn off
When the engine starts the lights come back on
Ive had 3 Volvo's and they all did that, my battery is only 6 months old

Certain cars do it by design, I suggest>>29075214 to look it up online for his particular model
>>
>>29075726
Do dash, interior lights turn off too? I understand cutting the headlights to not push the battery too hard but other lights should stay on, no?
>>
>>29075732
In my Volvo it all turns off, radio as well
Same logic, the peak demand *could* short circuit things

I mean, when jumpstarting a car they always recommend to turn all electronics off as well, once it's running you turn it all back on

Try googling it
