Even the new pulley I got didn’t spin much at all, so hopefully Napa will take it back. There is supposed to be two washers for the pulley (sitting on outsides of the bearing) and putting them on severely halts any spin. I simply didn’t replace the two washers. Hopefully it doesn’t cause issues bolted directly to the bearing. But it does spin freely now and torqued to proper spec.

Why couldnt i just use this to press out my suspension bushings?
For context, I heard of people spraying diesel down their oil fill during oil changes to help break up gunk in the oil pan. Would it be bad if someone filled their oil pan with diesel and spun the oil pump with a drill to let the diesel run through the passages to try and clear out the inner gunk? I don't plan on doing this, I just need answers. I assume you would be using more oil than needed to get the leftover diesel out but would it work?

Bought a 2015 Mirage, last owner had a lowering kit installed and left weebmusic in the cd player.Tried adjusting the suspension, it still bottoms out when I hit the crazy bumps on the interstate on the way to work, 2 times a day.Looks like it would cost about $1200 to replace the suspension.How long can I expect the car to survive if I just don't replace the suspension and keep bottoming out at high speed twice a day?What kind of failure can I expect? Variable hydraulic power steering cuts out completely at high temps instead of low temps, as you'd expect with a failing pump.It's fine around the center point but suddenly becomes hard to turn at 30 degrees to either side. In the past months it felt like a "notch" at those points where PS worked less, get past that and the force needed to steer returned to normal.Speed doesn't influence the issue, even fully stopped it gets as hard to steer as with the engine off. Three-way ABS isn't complaining about the rear wheel speed sensor either, so I figure it's not the variable circuitry giving issues.PS mostly cuts out at those steering angles and beyond when the car is fully warmed up (half hour of highway driving). The hotter the worse it gets. Revving the engine slightly helps but >2000 rpm is needed to make the problem disappear.It works fine when cold, even after idle drops below 1000 rpm. Even turning the wheel fast while parked goes fine and gives the normal soft whirring noise, no screeching. Same with pushing against the steering end limits.Belt doesn't slip, hot or cold. Changed power steering fluid, it was darker but not hazy and no metal flakes. Fluid helped slightly but PS still cuts out when fully warmed up and beyond the ~30 degrees angle.My guess was gunk in the rack-and-pinion steering rack, so I did the flush with some PS cleaner, then with the proper ATF till only clear ATF came out. Full flush, used the drain bolts on the rack that are the lowest point of the entire fluid circuit. And turning the steering wheel stop to stop with the engine off and the wheel off the ground of course.After that I bled the system with the wheels still up, engine running and turning side to side repeatedly. I noticed some harsh vibrations through the whole car while doing so, mostly when turning left.What else could be the issue? The pump bearings are perfect, zero wobbling of the pulley, and it makes no noises so no reason to replace it if it's not the issue.

ron paul /o/my lawnmover has been bogging down and losing power recently - a stiga multiclip 47sq b with a b&s 450 series engine. it's very low rpm, and when i try to mow something tougher than a gold court quality grass, it simply turns offi cleaned the spark plug and took apart the carb and cleaned it too. i started it up, it ran so-so for a moment, and then just blasted into full throttle - the carb is fully open, all the time. i honestly don't know why, the governor arm is not really doing anything, the carb is just open all the way but it's not stuck, i can manually move the lever and the rpm goes down, it mmoves smoothly. i don't know how to adjust the governor, it's just an arm on a pivot that goes into the engine(i think), there's a nut holding it together and that's it, losening/tightening doesn't do anything.i'd appreciate any input, i can take pictures if needed

Had my small block off the road for a bit while I replaced the rear seal. Also replaced the seal housing gasket, oil pan gasket, oil pump and pickup tube. Today I got the engine buttoned up and fired it up and oil was being slung by the flywheel. I took the flywheel back off and everything I replaced looks like it's dry, and not leaking. Any suggestions on what to check next? Something I might have missed?
