Well, this is not that. It's not luxury. It was a cheap car at the time that was made to at least superficially resemble the more expensive and luxurious cars of the time like the Dodge Diplomat or LTD Crown Victoria.Still, I love it. One nice thing about it being free of all the luxury trimmings is that there is very little to go wrong, it's very easy to work on, and being Fox platform makes it very easy to get parts. It's just a good feeling car to drive.

Pretty staid compared to the yank offerings in here but I love the W116 S class velour/corduroy interiors. They hold up so well with time and they are comfy.

Dodge Diplomat is one of the all time best looking cars inside and out imo. There have been a couple of clean ones that I could have bought but ultimately parts availability anxiety has kept me from doing it.
Never been a Ford guy but for me it's the Mark IV. 460, bench couches for the front and back seats, classy body lines. They are also still fairly cheap.
