Everybody is shit talking new cars itb. So what are good new cars to buy that are durable, long lasting, and won’t break down. Yea all cars these days are trashier compared to previous generations but there has to be some decent ones. List them.
>>29083187>durable, long lasting, and won’t break down>good new carslol
If you don't know just grab a Honda Civic/Corolla and call it a day.You can probably make a cheap Versa hatchback last if you don't drive like a fucking idiot, but that's all subjective. No matter what you ask you're buying something wrong cuz my friend bill had a bad time with the car.
Volvo has been making the same boxy shitboxes for 50+ years now, just get one.
No joke. Some of the thirdie stuff is pretty good especially compared to subscription bloatware vehicles firsties are forced into buying.
if i were to get a sedan it would be a civic or corolla, but what about a midsize/full size? SUV?
>>29083187Cars from 2019 or earlier.>>29083272Volvo hasn't made a single car since 2010 anon.
>>29083187just get any japanese car that doesn’t have a turbocharger and call it a day.people here will bitch about electronic nannies and screens and mcdonalds suspension but if all you care about is getting from point a to point b reliably they will not fail you.
>>29083298>just get any japanese carHave to check the VIN for a J, the Toyotas/Hondas built domestically are just as bad as anything else. For me, the new IS350, which while fairly ugly it has a proven 14 year old drivetrain design and the AI spyware is not implemented yet (but will be in 2027).
>>29083187The last Suzuki Swift Sport (ZC33S) was a real honey. Expect to see them around for a long time.
>>29083187Mazda 3 is a good car in the Civic and Corolla class.
>>29083313
>>29083357i'll never get over how many new cars make it so hard to see out meanwhile my barge that's a full metre longer is like a greenhouse and easy to park for its size
>>29083269Versa is a great car if you find a manual or change the CVT oil regularly. Its meant for Mexicans in Mexico who aren't going to take care of their car. Disagree on the Civic, that 1.5T is junkAny Toyota or Ford Hybrid is a solid bet. Mazdas are pretty good too if you stick to 4 cyls (I wouldn't trust their I6 TT). If you want a luxury car ironically BMWs with some exceptions like Giulias.
>>29083187>cars...that are durable, long lastingClosest approach to that sort of thing now is a BOF pickup that isn't turbocharged. The reason is those have enough markup that they can use the better materials instead of having to buy the cheapest shit in order to make a 2% profit in a 10+% inflationary market. It should also be noted that the window is closing fast. The newest pickups are showing the same cost-cutting bullshit that's plagued sedans for decades now
>>29083379So a Prius or Camry for sedan? Or a new Silverado 2W?
>>29083187>durable, long lastingany non-forced induction truck, honda includedanything sharing a platform with thosecorollanon-turbo mazdas>won’t break downcomplete luck of the draw, parts suppliers have dropped the ball in the past and that's where the issues come from these days (outside of hyundai and nissan)
>>29083304>14 year old drivetrain designYou mean 21yr design kek..t is350 owner.
Just get a Dacia
im facing the same question right now and am looking at some toyotasbasically in between the new camry or rav4 are there any glaring problems with either or any other cars at this price range i should consider?coming off a dying 2008 accord
>>29083801Corolla Cross if they don't have a RAV4 or try to pull a dealer markup
>>29083801The only issue I had with my 2025 camry was the drivers seat started squeaking because some internal structure collapsed. Got the internal structure and seat foam replaced under warranty. There was also a recall fixed with software update where apparently the gauge cluster on the base trims wouldn't turn on but I never heard of that or encountered it. Unless you see yourself needing the rear seats to fold down completely flat I would just go for the camry over the rav4.
>>29083187Base level Honda HRV
>>29083187Read the pinned thread you fucking nigger. Civic, elantra (only if you keep it in your garage), camry. Those are easy picks. If you like fancy shit youre going to have to do more research.
>>29083187toyota ybrids or evs if you meet the requirements
>>29083551if op would be from europe he would not be posting, but driving a dacia out of a dealership
