I would also like to add an example when my friend drove from Denver to Madison during the Christmas holiday in his 2004 Honda CRV, his beloved car. I told him he should rent. He didn't listen. on the drive hom, He got clipped by swerving car and crashed into a semi truck during a snow storm.He was a banged up. Fractured ribs, obviously his car was completely totaled. Now he's an owner of a brand new Honda Pilot and is 30 grand in debt.This all could have been avoided if he just rented a car for the trip.Not only would a modern car could have probably avoided the entire accident, he wouldn't be as banged up even if he did crash.And no. It wasn't tires. He had recently bought CrossClimates2 per my recommendation, and when he was here I did an oil change and a fluid change on his transmission which fixed slippage in OD. Shame about the car. It was a nice, old reliable vehicle that he put over $1,000 into weeks before crashing it. He did get $12k for it and bought the Pilot but still $30k in debt to the bank.

Plus its got more cargo space than you could ever need, pentastar V6 has ample power even for the Rockies and Appalachia, plus its just comfortable.
