possibly.

I'd love an Exige but I can't justify the premium. I'd love a 240R even more but it was never sold here.

Let me guess, you drive a 5000lbs pigfat BMW or something
>>

>possibly
You ever drive a manual?

My neighbour owns an Elan and wanted some help getting it running. Kinda sucks to work on, but very cool. Mazda did a fantastic job capturing the essence of the Elan in the MX5.

Used to own an Elise, best handling car I've ever driven. Just don't buy one as your only car, they really aren't suited to road trips and the like
>>
>>29085580
by your own gay ChatGPT image your pigfat BMW which cost 5 times more and will be worthless in 5 years is slower than an Elise on the slalom, slower 0-100 and barely faster at 0-200
>>

This. They're very minimalist cars (and fine for short term fun- weekends and whatnot) but it's not the kind of car you put lots of highway miles on.
>>29085589
nice. you kinda make the point though.... just get the miata and skip all this shit unless you're really into the british car scene (which is actually a lot of fun) but you can save a lot of money and frustration just buying a miata and getting 99% the same experience (except fixing your shitbox on the side of the road at night).

Yes, a K swapped Elise.
>>
>>29085539
I had a look in at the Elise and Exige some years back as apparently I felt the cars I owned were not stupid enough. They are little marvels but there's a lot about them when it comes to maintenance and repairs which put me off- mostly being a mix of al-alloy tub and they have extrusions bonded to the panels which is extremely hard to fix. A lot of the panels in the underbody are also a high tensile type which adds a lot of structural strength that is next to impossible to repair in combo with it being glued onto aluminum.
Like, it all works when its working, but any kind of light hits or running random shit over on the road could be catastrophically expensive. No one wants to do it, but it happens and if it does, you're kind of fucked. But mostly, its not a great place to be if you're bigger than normal and there's barely enough room to bring back a decent shopping trip, not that you want to park one in a public car park with all the retards crashing into things

If you can afford one as a weekender it'd be excellent fun

You're better off getting a VX220/Opel Speedster.

>2ZZ-GE
If you think about it, the supercharged 2ZZ-GE is basically the engine that 4A-GE fags spend thousands on to only make fraction of the power
>>
A guy I used to work with dailys his Elise. He let me drive it and it's one of the most intuitive and confidence inspiring cars. Really fantastic to drive. However they are pretty spartan. I'd recommend one. However if you want a bit more comfort you'd have to look at the Evora.

true. both engines are co developed with yamaha too
>>
>>29085948
why?
>>
>>29086991
A bit more power and a bit cheaper.
More WTF moments than a Lotus.
