Does the stereotype of vans being associated with rapists have to do with how ugly American Vans are? The Dodge Ram Van, The Ford Econoline Van & the Chevrolet Vans are truly hideous. The Modern Day Van Market is dominated by the Ford Transit (designed by Ford Europe), the Dodge Ram Promaster (rebadged Fiat Ducato) & the Mercedes Benz Sprinter. These European Vans are much better looking & don't get hit with the same negative stereotype.
