>redditor copefags unironically shilling the 296
In that case, you would like the mc20 right?
Real carbon tub.
Doors go up.
pure ICE v6.
The truth is you're coping. You got stuck with the 296 because Ferrari wouldn't give you anything else.

I don't care about sports cars that don't race.
>>
instead of getting the car they're trying to mimic, get the original.

That's the most American thing I've read all day.
>>
listen to the roar of that buick v6
>>
>>29102269
wow. 2 cars I don’t own, will never own, and will likely never see. why should I care about their spec sheets again?
>>
>>29102269
296 is legit one of the best sports cars ever made for GT3.
You don’t have to like it but it’s true.
>>
>>29102275
The 2 stroke Detroit diesel v6 was three American standard for a very long time, it powered everything from military vehicles, civilian busses, and even generators. What now v6 hater?
>>
>>29102298
I didn't even know america made a V6 diesel. I thought everything was a straight six.
>>
>>29102300
There's was a time it was in everything, even semi trucks and boats. It produced a lot of power for its size at the time, the problem is its efficiency, large displacement supercharged 2 stroke diesel is thirsty

I see two auto only V6 cars that I will never own or drive

How can you say the MC20 is good you have to be stupid
>>
>>29102269
>Real carbon tub.
And yet the MC20 weighs slightly more than the Ferrari 296 according to instrumented tests.
>>
>>29102444
Yeah somehow they managed to really feed it the Tiramisu. It's a mystery how it ended up so heavy.
>>
>>29102269
Both of these are irrelevant. These are the equivalent of a $1000 t-shirt when a $15 Shart-Mart t-shirt does everything better. That $15 t-shirt being the C8.

Don't compare ferrari dry weights with maserati curb weights. Even then, Ferrari lowballs their curb weights to try and make them look better.
Weight aside, even though carbon tubs are generally lighter than spaceframes it's more about rigidity. Even a tubular steel chassis (like in most race cars) can be just as light as an aluminum spaceframe or carbon tub if you don't care about interior volume. A large part of that is having the rollcage pretty much built-in, but the point stands.

>It's a mystery

As always, Ferrari demanded the engineers to nerf the car so it wouldn't outperform their shit cars...same story as the Alfa 8C and 4C.

Also, the MC20 is the rebadged aborted Alfa Romeo 6C so that's why the car is so good.

Much like Col. Townsend Whelen's statement that "only accurate rifles are interesting"; in my worldview "only reliable/durable cars are interesting" so while I've periodically had the funds to purchase and own one, I've never really had the interest in dallying with whatever Italian concepts of "reliable" or "durable" might mean to them.

That being said, these are two beautiful cars and the MC20 is the only Maserati I would even consider purchasing. I think it even looks better than the 296.

I occasionally see them in the condo garage and they're each quite striking in appearance.

However I simply don't see any reason to ever purchase an Italian car even if I could easily afford it.
>>
>>29102269
Unlike 4chan. There's quite a few redditors who could afford a ferrari.
>>
>>29102269
If I wanted a carbon tub I'd get the McLaren, not that pigfat heap of shit.
But the 296 is the best looking so I choose that.
>>
>>29102269
Yes, I like them both.
And I like the Ford GT even more.

The 296 is peak modern Ferrari

>has GT40 hips
>V6 that sounds better than its V8 contemporaries
>quicker than the Revuelto
>quicker to 150 mph than a Veyron

>>29103382
That's an SF90. You can tell because it doesn't have sovl like the 296
