I live at high elevation and never use the 85 octane fule as my vehicle is rated for 87. Woul i do any harm if i use 91?
>>29102686No but it may not help at all
>>29102686learn what the octane rating means and how it effects an engine.ask an ai or something at the very least
what kind of third world do you live in?the standard fuel is 90, the fancy stuff is 95 (E10 and E5)imagine filling your tank with 15% of bio ethanol lollmao even
>>29104728Different countries use different octane measurements.91-92 in Yurop is 87 in the US.More importantly, you want the lowest octane that doesn't knock at WOT to redline. Higher octane may even reduce power as octane is resistance to burn.
>>29104734Some countries put more ethanol in the cheaper fuel, so the more expensive stuff may have slightly higher energy content.Never managed to measure any difference in consumption between 95E10 and 98, though. Too many other variables, I guess.
>>29104728Ethanol has a higher octane number than normal fuel. This is not a measure of quality - at least not directly.
Octane is resistance to ignition.Tetraethyl lead? Ethanol? Who fucking cares?A fuel may carry more energy but is harder to burn so you lose power. You want the easiest fuel to burn that doesn’t knock when you’re going flat-out. That’s it.
