>Falken Wildpeaks
He's very good.
H
I've had them on my Silverado for a few years and they've been great 4 season tire.
Handles wicked ice and snow all winter and drives nice in the summer too
>>
those are the muddin' version
do you go through mud a lot?
>>29103247
they kinda suck in mud and ice tho, just in my experience
great in the rain though 100% recommend if you encounter rain a lot
>>
>>29103238
They score pretty low in pretty much every tire test. People love them because they haven't tried anything else or better.

>>29103242
Yes I also love wear and balance issues.

Is there a good tire?

The Nokian Ones and Outpost NAT's are really good. Both are going to be shit in mud. Mud tires are going to be shit in everything but mud.

>>29104335
These if you like cracked sidewalls.
>>

It's amazing HOW shit in mud all terrain tires are. Maybe this is the use case scenario of "rugged terrain" tires
I think it's also how shitty my car's AWD system is, it just breaks traction with no warning and relies on your the driver to steer back to traction with no perceptible intervention by the car except if you slam on the brakes in pouring rain it will pulse the ABS but I have never once felt the traction control work other than mild hesitancy pulling out when I park in like uneven dirt pullouts

My Outposts are pretty acceptable in the mud. They'll get you out of a flat muddy field in 2wd. An RT wouldn't be much better than a AT in the mud because they still lack the knob spacing and mud ejectors.

You're not really supposed to notice modern TC or ABS. Modern ABS systems will pulsate individual wheels which is harder to notice than the old school systems that just pulsate your master cylinder and all your wheels at once.

For me its the goodyear wrangler

Part of the based quintuples of AT tires:
>Falken Wildpeaks
>Mickey Thompson Baja Boss
>Nitto Ridge Grappler
>Toyo Open Country 2 or 3
>Goodyear Wrangler

"Good" for what?
>>
I found as they got older the louder they got. Good grip but man did they get loud.

I swapped them for a less aggressive all terrain
>>
>>29104351
For mud, you want mud-terrain tires, which are great in mud, but howl like a bastard and are like ice-skates on wet roads.
>>
>>29104362
The systems have been individual wheel for like 40 years.
The difference in the newer systems is that they can interact with the ECU and pull (negate) your throttle by wire inputs instead of only braking certain wheels.

So you are saying theres no real solution if i want good performance in gravel ice snow rain and mud?
>>
>>29105215
Yeah there is. It's called a good AT.

Based Duratrac enjoyers
