Nah, torque specs are important.
It's super easy and fast to use a torque wrench

That or actually read some forum posts instead of making AI spoonfeed you

i like bringing my ai generated car to the ai generated mechanic because he uses ai generated torque specs

>do I really have to shell out for a book?
You 100% should.
They're like $25 or free. I have 2 different physical service manuals for my car. I cross-reference and if there's a difference between manuals I triple-reference with youtube / forums.
My car is the only car I work on, if $30 means saving a shit ton of money and will make my car live longer I'll do that.
You can also do fat lines off of them.

i usually torque to spec but if you're too retarded to torque spark plugs by feel you shouldn't be working on cars

You got a repository for tech manuals or Haynes manuals? I can't imagine there's a huge demand for book torrents since direct download would be more likely?

Kinda funny torque requirement.

I used to work on DC-3s/ C-47s. The propeller hub nut (the single nut that holds the entire prop assy onto the engine) is torqued to something like 1000 ft lbs. You need a massive special socket, torque multiplier for you to put the torque wrench into, and a adapter to hold it all together.
But the maintenance manual provided instructions on how to torque the nut without a torque wrench.
The manual basically just told you to have a technician suspend himself on a bar and bounce a few times. It specified how heavy the technician needed to be, and how long the bar needed to be.

Another weird torque procedure was for the wing. The DC-3 uses these L-shaped extrusions on the outside of the wing to hold the wing on. If you look at the wing, just outboard of the engine, you'll see a row of bolts. There's almost 330 bolts, and they all need to be torqued. But the funny thing is that the manual tells you to torque all the bolts, go fly the plane, then retorque all the bolts again.

Factory service manual if you can find one. They sometimes cost not much more than a haynes or chiltons if you have an old shitbox.

I hate using manuals off the computer. Phusical copies are just so much easier to work with. Yes I don't have 'Ctrl+F' to help, but I hate having to degrease my computer even more.

Print it? Then if you want you only need to print the relevant pages.
