It's like putting a magnum front on a 300, you could call it rice but it actually looks unique having a magnum with a sedan body it wasn't intially intended for but the platform allows you to do it anyway because manufacturers want to be cheap fuckers. I think things get more murky though if we start talking about cars like Stageas for instance. They share the Skyline platform on both gens and you can front end swap them for 34 or 35 ends respectively which in theory should be fine as they are basically just standard GT wagons. But half the people doing that are doing so not just because of the novelty of a wagon GT, it's because they want a cheap GTR and they will fit a GTR front end as a result despite not having any of the obvious perfomance associated with that.
