Amateur mistake.
My brakes are worth more than most cars on /o/
Imagine modifying your car and not making sure you can stop.
Next you will tell me I shouldn't have 20 inch nigger rims but these big bitches dont fit in anything else.
Stay mad /o/ post brakes

I believe the correct Japanese pronunciation is "Too-gay", which seems incredibly appropriate for OP

Kek, someone needs to place some brake pads in a bed, thays how you gotta bed em

Unless you're taking your car out onto the track, big brakes really only slow you down.

If your brakes are strong enough to lock up the tires or engage ABS in a straight line then getting stronger ones doesn’t do jack shit.
The only possible benefit is cooling for multi-hour tack days but it’s not helping on the street.
If you want better braking, get stickier tires.

The more you track your car, the more you'll learn rotor diameter is largely irrelevant
Brake cooling is 90% of the equation for good brakes on track.
Those 400mm+ factory rotors are heavy and have shit cooling compared to even 355mm kits.
The factory pad shapes are also too thin and aren't track ready.
Those street focused Calipers have dust boots that get murdered as well
OEM stuff just sucks.
Even Porsche 911s and GT4s have issues with sue high level lapping.
That's why I don't see a single GT3 on factory brakes at my local track

There are other reasons too tho little bro.
Use that walnut God gave you. I got confidence that you can do it!
>>

Nta but the only other explanation would be social flexing.
>>
>>29105345
Nope. try again.
>>
>>29105349
That was all I got.
I can’t see any other reason than reducing brake fade or flexing on people similarly to having a new apple watch you don’t even use.

It's okay, we'll see if that author responds correctly.

I've been pretty happy with my Wilwood Racing kit.
Runs around 1,200F on a power happy track with 150mph stops.

Nigger, you're on 4chan. That's not the own you think it is.
Most of the posters here are probably tooling around on E-bikes or grandmas hand me down Kia.

I'll go over this since I've run AP brakes.

AP rotors are lighter.
They also have more cooling vanes.
The replacement rings are cheaper
The metallurgy is superior and the rotors last longer than the stock Porsche ones.
The AP slots produce more friction as well

The calipers are lighter.
They offer superior cooling
Superior stiffness
Pad swaps can be done without taking the GT3 caliper off and bleeding.
Pad shapes are cheaper than OEM sizes
They also come in 25mm variants.
So they last hella long for less money.
The nickel coatings are super easy to clean and look baller as fuck.

The caliper brackets allow you to reuse bolts unlike the single use shit 911s have.
They also allow you to shim the caliper for different pad radial heights.

AP will also season rotors and pads you buy so you can go straight to pushing right away.

So yes, that's why anyone actually fast doesn't run OEM brakes.
I never see mustangs on track that aren't from the 60s, but the new Camaro guys run AP.
Same with the BMW/Supra bros.
Even the GR86 guys run the smaller AP setups.
Too bad I can't afford $12,000 worth of AP brakes right now

Front Calipers: $500 a set used
Rotors: $620 a set new
Pads: $190
Not really a flex anon.

While true on technical merits, most people are not buying GT3's with iron rotors because they up$ell you on the options to even get the car.
But yeah nobody (almost) that's paying their own way wants to deal with the ridiculous expense of replacing pccb as a consumable item so they immediately pull them and either wrap them carefully in a box to place back on the car when they sell it or they sell them immediately to recoup the cost for dedicated track cars.
Point being (as you made more clear in the followup post) it's not purely a performance driven metric (although AP are great brakes) but in "pay your own way" racing there is larger spectrum of cost/benefit assessment that goes beyond purely "does it stop better" on the track.

Slowing down is for losers who don't have enough horsepower
>>
>>29104726
That actually looks cool
