we're going to fix American cars

Any vehicle over 201 inches, or over 3701lbs will require a "heavy standard vehicle" licence.

Any vehicle that gets tax breaks or different emissions, safety etc standards is now a commercial vehicle, and you need a commercial licence to drive it.

These license won't be restrictive or difficult to get, if you really want that F250 for driving down the highway to go to work at the office, you can get it. But Sandra from accounting? She'll take the Maverick instead, something more reasonable.

Imagine if every massive SUV was driven by someone who took at least a weekend course in how to drive the modern land yauht? And the terrible drivers who don't actually give a shit were in smaller cars that were easier to drive, because they didn't want to do the two weekend course to get the licence.

>I DON'T WANNA GET AN EXTRA LICENCE I MOVE A COUCH ONCE A YEAR AND NEED A TRUCK
ok, you're a shit driver, sorry that it's too hard for you to drive, here's something more your skill level
>>
>>29105310
Fuck off, save me daddy government. I’m not proving shit for a license. That’s why I don’t have a CDL and I didn’t do the weekend class for motorcycle.

im trans btw if that matters

then what's the fucking point? I want trucks and suvs legislated out of existence and replaced by giant coupes, stationwagons, and land yachts the way god intended

Amerigoblins will murder whatever administration who sign off on this. Remember Amerigoblins are special snowflakes. Nothing they do is wrong. Being a 150kg lardass driving a 3000kg truck to buy 100kg worth of plastic food is the pinnacle of living.
>>
Stop banning things.
Fix the regulations so that certain types of cars aren’t punished for whatever safety or fuel mileage bs.
It’ll sort itself out.

Okay and what about sports cars that do not get used as sports cars? You going to make them illegal too? Also do you really want the used market flooded with crossovers instead of RWD and V8 trucks? Why don't you just move to Europe if you want to live like this?
>>
>>29105321
you need a special licence to drive every car
>>
>>29105318
>I’m not proving shit for a license.
so you don't have a licence?
>>
>>29105366
There is a difference between having a license that shows you understand the actual rules of the road and oooo scary larger vehicle, or oooo scary two wheels.

you would kill a lot of enthusiast cars this way, as well. say goodbye to your GT-R. and any luxury car.

meanwhile, the big three can just sell you a truck with no bed to greatly reduce weight and give you the bed to install yourself creating a loophole. nothing changes. everyone still drives trucks with no commercial loicense and you cuck weebs and the entire european auto industry that relies on the sales of heavy luxury vehicles big time.

In Australia, the weight limit from car to light truck license is 4500kg (9920lb) GVM. Seems to work out fine here. 3700lb weight break seems too low to be practical even if that's the tare weight.

Sounds an awful lot like socialism. There's a reason the USA has the greatest car culture on the planet and none of it came from restricting people from owning whatever they want to own, or pricing them out of being able to register and fuel trucks. It's been found that Yuros on average have lower test levels than American men of the same age. Perhaps coincidentally, most Yuros drive 1.nothing liter econoboxes.

>>29105508
Ausfailia isn't a free country and if you tried to implement the same faggot laws here that you guys gladly accept, there would be a revolution.
>>
>>29105508
How is not even 10k lbs practical? You couldn't even drive a Hummer EV at that point.

we still do. Japan and Europe haven't produced anything better than pic related at any price level.

>we used to, but all we make these days is bloated soulless cuckmobiles
It's not really any different to other countries, the only thing Japan have produced in the last decade that would be noteworthy to enthusiasts would be the GT-R and maybe the IS500. I don't consider the new Supra to be an entirely Japanese car so that doesn't factor in.

The USA at least has the muscle trio and the CT5-V Blackwing was a more than respectable effort.

My 2025 Maverick XL hybrid AWD is 3769lbs. Sandra can't even get a Maverick without it being FWD.

You dont have to buy (new thing).
This site is 58% bots that scour numbers for (current model) but you can buy a restored 1985 XLT Lariat fullsize Bronco for less than a 2025 corolla.
Just a random vehicle.
Theres many options depending on your taste.
>>
>>29105521
Oh no
>>
>>29105310
you should need a special license to drive any car with less than five cylinders.

Why this number?
>>
>>29105935
Just quoting what is, rather than my opinion. I have a heavy rigid license, so I can drive any non-articulated truck, so the weight breaks really don't bother me.
>>29106038
OP probably just pulled it out of his ass. I expect his mum's car weighs about 3695lb.
