Anybody ever upgraded the whip with katzkin or other aftermarket leathers? Worth it? How much did it cost?

>>29106279>They're nice, but not nice nice.Basically this. If your current seats are in bad condition, katzkin basically makes OEM quality seats that aren't installed in 20 minutes. You'll need a hog ring tool, disassembly and removal of seats from your specific car, maybe a steamer, and generally know how to install seat fabric. If you're looking for some really good luxury stuff, you're going to a custom shop and paying more than $5000 per seat.

I put $300 Amazon seat covers over my mav seats immediately when I bought it. They were a bitch to install and their fitment isn't great, you can get them looking like the pictures and most people won't notice but you'll know where it doesn't fit perfectly after installing. Took me like 3 m hours to get them in properly.Overall very happy I just did $300 seat covers instead of paying $7000 more for a Lariat

I don't think katzkin is actually leather, but nonetheless I've used them and the quality of fit is fantastic.

Just depends how much you want to pay for it. As someone who sold and watched hundreds of katzkin installations, its funny seeing people claim to know what it is.
