Ooops
>2 slip on spacers>inches of stickout >no hubcentric locating for the wheel >"why did my wheel studs snap? I must need bigger wheel studs!"These guys have no mechanical understanding.
>>29106388>hooniganOf course it is.
>>29106390You'd think with all the money they have that those retards could buy correctly fitted wheels
>>29106388Are those retards even using a floating axle?Even Pressfit semi float Ford 9in are still weak.
>>29106390Usually the drag boys are using 14mm or 5/8in studs. Those wheels probably don't fit anything bigger than 12m.
>>29106581Studs are only supposed to provide clamping force, they're not supposed to be bearing the sheer force. If you run the wrong wheel setup so that your studs are taking the sheer loading of your vehicle weight AND driveline torque, like these retards did, then you're going to cause problems no matter what size studs you use. Even worse when you give everything extra leverage by running inches of stickout before the wheel nut.
>>29106593>bearing the sheer force. Every bolt or wheel stud made over the past 10,000 years holds a sheer load anon.Unless your wheel has a center lock, otherwise it's sheer load mang.
>>29106388Fucking stancefags
>>29106625No buddy my wheels are hubcentric so the centre bore bears the entire vehicle weight. No matter how much I shock load them, if the wheel face slips from the hub face, the studs will only flex rotationally around the centre axis. With no hub to keep the wheel concentric, any slip between the wheel face and the hub face will almost certainly result in the wheel going ECCENTRIC, and if the wheel goes eccentric even slightly then the sheer force on the studs multiplies massively. So if you combine all the factors here of the TWO spacers which provides an extra slippery surface between the wheel face and hub face, the complete lack of concentric locating which means any hub face slip will make the wheel go eccentric, AND the enormous stickout which means the eccentric sheer loading will have way more leverage over the studs, it's easy to see why 5 snapped wheel studs is the result they got.
>>29106645>hubcentric so the centre bore bears the entire vehicle weightFuck anon, Jesus Christ.(Is king)Hub centric wheels don't hold up 100% of the load.Often times that's simply used for centering the wheel. Most Corvettes for example are hub centric but only 1/8in of the wheel touches the center 2.78in bore.Nigga, you think a hub Bore keeps your wheels from spinning on the hubs?Fucking hell anon, like fuck.
>>29106799Spinning on the hub was addressed in my post buddy.Yes a hub can easily support the weight of a vehicle provided the wheel studs are providing TENSION <(this is their job, to provide tension and not bear sheer load)
>>29106522>>29106440I honestly donβt know how people like this have so much more money than I do for cars and it depresses me.
