I know it's a bit of a shitstorm provoking thread but I wanna see a civilized discussion
>>
can you japscrap do this didnt rhink so

Euro vans are horrible to drive, like have horrible seating position in order to maximize cargo space since those are mostly not driven by owners like US pickup trucks but wage earners so fuck them and their comfort.
>>
You don't drive a pickup in europe because people will just steal shit from your truckbed once you hit a red light. It's why vans are giant cargo cages on wheels, but even that is not enough to stop ravenous gypos.
>>
>>29112410
Used to work at a Home Depot and the amount of retard contractors who wanted us to forklift a full bunk of 8' drywall into the bed of their pickup was insane
Suspension always dropped like half a foot
>>
>>29112422
You know there's more blacks in the US than Gypsies in Europe?
>>
>>29112426
Not for long friend.
>>
Depends on the stuff in question.
>I wanna see a civilized discussion
No you don't.
>>
>>29112399
Nigger if you want a civilized discussion why are you here
>>
>>29112417
The huge blind spots is what annoyed me.
Giant fuckhuge windshield, then they put the A-pillar and the huge mirror and the door surround right where you need to look when pulling into traffic from a side street.
>>
>>29112423

Once you arent hitting the bumpstops you are alright
>>
You can check yourself, compare bed sizes or volume for closed ones and wallah

Afaik yes, they have A LOT more space, maybe not more power for pulling but in terms of space its not a question
>>
>>29112399
Van cutaways give you more cargo space for same frame length compared to a truck chassis.
Truck chassis have more space for power train, for example econline with 7.3 has 350hp, and f-series 430hp, because they couldn't keep it cool in a van.
You see van cutaways in urban environment, ambulances, delivery and such, where maximizing cargo area while keeping vehicle short is important.
You see truck chassis on the highway or when towing is needed.
>I hope you were not trying to compare light-medium commercial vehicles with personal pickup trucks who's purpose is to get around tax and environmental law
>>
>>29112426
Ive seen negros with jobs that contribute to society. I've heard they even come in Doctor and Lawyer versions.
Can you say any of that about any gypsy?
>>
>>29112399
The FWD chassis in those rides like shit and is far more uncomfortable than any other van or pickup. A Transit, Express, F150 etc all ride far more comfortably and with far less NVH, and the "lower load height" benefit is essentially nil anyway.
On the note you're trying to make, I'd argue that outside of things like carrying loads of manure or refrigerators standing up, vans make more sense for transporting "stuff" anyway. There's a reason most contractors that work for themselves tend to stick to vans, and a reason those with pickups (without service bodies in particular) typically aren't seen hauling anything but themselves and their company logo.
>>
>>29112947
Vans are great for plumbers or electricians.
They suck donkey dick for transporting goods or materials.
>>
>>29113500
ive never seen an actual job site use a pickup for materials. they always come on giant flatbeds
>>
>>29113518
Im not building an ark
>>
>>29114208
where i live even if you just buy a fridge half the time it comes on a vehicle two sizes too large. theyre building some goyhovel bughive behind my place and every day there's double long flatbeds coming in with like two concrete pipes on em each. its insane
>>
>>29114245
I used to deliver appliances and it sucks ass working out of anything smaller than a 5 ton. The extra room is nice plus the smaller trucks usually don't have forklift rated floors.
>>
FUCK NIGGERS
>>
>>29112422
Ah yes, europe, known for its high crime.
>>
>>29114347
It is though. Europe likes to pretend it's all sophisticated and shit, but France the England are both going through crime waves right now. They are peak low-trust societies.

I've moved racked servers in a 3.5 tonner before.
That is really too much desu.

There's no way I'd trust that lift with a 700lb fridge. You also aren't fitting multiple kitchen packages in something like that. Sorry but picrel is better.

>Europeans when their superiority complex is challenged
>>

one thing i think isn't appreciated, is ubiquity. if you can't get parts for a work vehicle, it's pretty shitty to try and work with.

>700lb fridge
>>
>>29114750
Yes???
>The CL4850UFD/S refrigerator weighs 702 lbs (approximately 318 kg).
>>
>>29112947
If buyers prioritised NVH over load space design would reflect that. Tradies don't give a fuck. You sound like a poofter.
>>
>>29112399
Yes, get a cab chassis or cutaway van and put a bed on it. Saves you all the retardation and cost of modern trucks. Plus they're typically bare bones fleet vehicles with less shit that breaks.
>>
>>29115401
>Saves you all the retardation and cost of modern trucks.
It doesn't really. A base V6 cargo Chevy Express is still over $40k and the cutaway version isn't much cheaper. Vans will always be commercial vehicles and you will always pay more for that. Now days there's still a fair amount of shit to break even in something basic like an Express. Base model vehicles look like shit and sell poorly on the auction block which is why most companies go for a trim or two above that.

I see more and more trades going to pickups with commercial style canopies because they're a better value and a lot of the time a more practical vehicle.

>>29114347
>Ah yes, europe, known for its high crime.
I'm in EU.
Everything I ever forgot in pickup bed got stolen. Record is probably Leatherman that was gone in like 15 minutes.
People will also use your truck as trashcan.
Peak there was some junkie tossing his needle into bed while it was snowing and then me clearing snow out with hands.
idk how burgers get away with it.

No, you are not "alright".
Fuckin retard.

If you are overloaded, and the suspension cannot travel fully, that's an unsafe condition.

Stay off of the roads.

What a POS.
No wonder that it was ditched as some shithole used car lot, lol.
>>
>>29112456
My F-350 literally has helper springs that don't engage at all until about 2" of compression. Softer springs to ride less shit unloaded, firm helpers to carry a literal ton safely. It's a simple setup that just works. Picrel is from the internet
>>
>>29112947

Once you see it dumps its 95% going to be rwd unless it is some weird airport thing. If duals 100% rwd.

Lower load height is 100% a massive plus if you ever have to handload anything. Goverment here has a massive flatbed that is about 5' off the ground and that thing is 90% handloaded lmao

You fat fuck.

Magnus Von Magnusson (World's Strongest Man winner like 15 billion times) averages 280 pounds over his career.
Arnold Schwarzenegger weighed 225 pounds for the 1980 Mr. Olympia competition.
Pic is a 220 pound man.

If he is even 5'8" and looks like that while being sedentary then i would believe him at about 240-250. That is in the later stages of obese.

Are you seriously saying less crime happens in europe than america? You try driving a 10k plus car through a low income city street in europe and see how long it takes before a car brake checks you while another pulls up behind you before you get jumped.

My question in that scenario then is what state in the US and where in Europe
