>cars & bids
I only buy piece of shit cars from copart. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.
>>
I've to date sold 2 and bought 5 cars from both bat and cab. i don't even go to shitholes like facebook anymore.

As a buyer, all the best deals are still on basedlist and kikebook. For my next sale, I might try BAT.

It's a hassle and doesn't really work out as cheap as you think.
I'm speaking from how it works in my country, but usually you have to pay a (refundable) registration fee of a few hundred to a few thousand bucks and provide them with bank statements as proof that you can actually afford to buy a car. Once you start bidding you'll quickly get outbid by some dealership agent with 10x more money than you looking for cars to sling on his used car lot. If you do place a winning bid, there's a 5-10% auctioneer's fee and you'll have to pay sales tax on the car as well. Hopefully there's nothing wrong with the car (misrepresentation) and you won't have to get the auction house to cancel the sale.
It's something of a gamble but you can find some good deals if you know what you're doing.

Might be the only option to reliable get a rarer car.
You won't find a deal after paying the auction premium.
And if you someone get a really good deal, nothing stops the seller from ghosting you if they're not willing to let go of the car for that cheap.
>>
Know that am auctioned car has no resell value and buyers will try to scam you when you try to sell them.

Dumb unless the car you're buying is difficult to find locally, since you're competing with a whole nation of buyers instead of just whoever drives to look at it locally.

t. sold a couple of my cars on BaT but wouldn't want to buy one there based on the money the winners paid.

Private collector auction != insurance/repo auction you dumb nigger
>>

I think he means it's harder to resell because anyone can google the vin and it pops up and they see immediately how much you paid for it and know not to pay more than that. Flip side is you probably paid more than it was worth in the first place so actually you get a fair price on resell

So just tell them the price is final.

if you're patient you can get good deals every now and then when something slips through the cracks. For example, I saw a gc8 type ra sell for $5k at auction because it wasn't listed properly. Sometimes ignorant lister + lack of bidders gets you a great deal. But for me it's always a ~3 month process to find one of those.
And cars with crash history go for way too much on auction houses. There's too many poors I guess bidding them up.

I would never buy a vehicle unless I could fully look it over in person beforehand.

wat cars, fren?

Copart fees are retarded.
And they smashed my front valance carrying it on the forklift (was fine in the auction pics).
And youre only going to get a deal on garbage or niche vehicles. 95% of shit gets bought by overseas resellers.

Seems to me that auctions are better for selling than buying, also, I really think the auction sites like BAT or CarsandBids are only truly worth it if you're looking for a relatively shitty car that happens to be in decent condition. The good thing about the auction sites is that they won't let people just list anything, it has to be in at least good cosmetic condition.

For example, on carsandbids I saw some insane deals on low mileage Chrysler LeBarons recently. Like LeBaron's with under 10k miles, saw a couple of them sell for under 5 grand. Or if you want to find a low mileage 80s or early 90s Ford Taurus. For stuff like that I think the auction sites are good because it'll be hard to find well preserved survivor examples like that on Facebook marketplace, but also, a lot of people on the auction sites are rich people who aren't interested in boring cars from decades ago.

On the flip side, I think if you're looking for any kind of newer somewhat desirable vehicle, that the auction sites are dumb. Like, for example a year or two ago when the Cybertruck came out, you had people buying them brand new and flipping them for profit to Tesla fanboys on the auction sites. That's retarded. If you have that kind of money, it's better to look up random dealerships in Kansas or Nebraska and just buy from them instead of overpaying.

i've looked before but the fees are jewish and they won't sell me 80% of the vehicles because I dont have a dealer license.
