Car: [dacia] [duster] [2015] [diesel] The photo is a representation of the model, not mine. Problem:- Metallic rattling / "casserole" noise when closing the doors- The same thing happens when the car goes over bumps- Noise is clearly coming from under the hood- Much louder when the hood is openVideo of the noise: https://files.catbox.moe/zxet48.mp4Already checked:- Nothing loose in the trunk- I don't see anything that could be moving inside the engine. Any idea what it could be? Heat shield? Silentbloc ?
>>29117040Check turbo heat shield and brake piping. A simple touch while closing the door might suppress it.
Are you french
>>29117052Yes
>>29117073No you're not you're hispanic
>>29117049When you say a simple touch, what are you talking about?
>>29117077Put your hand on things while the other person is closing the door. If the rattle goes away while the door is being closed, that's the part that's rattling.
>>29117088The noise is coming from under the hood; I have no idea what's vibrating like that. I'd have to press on all the engine parts to check. I don't want to.
>>29117091Profite du bruit
>>29117091Sounds like an exhaust heat shield or some plastic bit has come loose. Maybe something was left deep in the engine bay during maintenance? Maybe the plastic under tray (if it has one) is missing some clips? Hard to say from here but >>29117088 has the right idea.Nice English btw.
>>29117147Alright Tell me, how serious is it? Can I still drive ? >Nice english Thx
>>29117153Depends on what it is unfortunately. It’s most likely nothing serious, but it might be. It’s difficult to diagnose that without getting my hands in there.
>>29117153>out the car on ramps and go under >have someone else shake the car you will probably find what it is
>>29117229Hey everyone, back from the mechanicThis is a component that prevents the engine from falling out; three screws were missing. It's fixed, thank you so much! /o/
>>29119085Remember to always put loctite (or equivalent) on every screw you don't want/need to fiddle with. In the case of engine mounts, since this is a Dacia (and you're more likely to just buy another one instead of replacing the engine if it breaks), you'll want to use red (or another permanent type).
>>29119085The engine mount bolts were loose? Whew good thing you got it checked. Not something I would consider happening on a relatively new stock car but I guess Dacia was not on their best the day they made it.
