Welp, went into the Chevy dealer not totally sure what I wanted, walked out with a brand new Equinox and honestly I’m not even mad about it. Yeah the interest rate was a little spicier than I was hoping for and by the time I’m done with payments in six years I’ll have basically bought this thing twice, but listen, it’s an Equinox, she tows up to 3,500 lbs, smooth ride, solid tech, great on gas especially if you grabbed the turbo four, and she’s sitting in the driveway right now in this gorgeous light steel blue, not quite blue, not quite grey, almost got a hint of green to it depending on the light, like a morning sky kinda color, and every time I look at it I feel like I made the right call, so yeah the finance guy won that round but I’m pulling up to work in an Equinox so who’s really losing here.
I just discovered that the equinox (heh, equ!nox) wasn't discontinued a decade ago from your post. You could probably get away with anything in one since they're basically invisible.

It genuinely looks like a cheap rental car compared to my Kia. Why do they not have bigger climate knobs and with grippier knurling? It's bigger than the one in my Kia but same idiotic smooth surface that's annoying to grasp and twist while driving. Should be closer to or on the steering wheel. If I designed a car it would have like 20 real buttons all on the steering wheel.
