>>29118131I think I actually preferred the look of the electric Fiat 500.
>>291181312000's nostalgia is going hard right now and the automotive trends of the early 2000's are also coming back, like Retro carsBack then we got a new VW Beetle and Mini Cooper and now we get a new Renault R5 and a new 2CV
>>29118131nice job stealing that nu-twingo headlights
>>29118131on top of transparently being a twingo ripoff, it just looks cheap
>>29118131Why is it electric? Just put a tu5 in it and call it a day. Dumb ass communists.
>>29118131>smaller than the OG deudeuchefucking HOW, i mean dont get me wrong it looks nice though wont obviously be the final product because as of right now it looks like a morbidly obese ami
>>29118168>Why is it electric? And where exactly are we supposed to get crude oil from in Europe?Buy it from Putin or that Arab mafia known as OPEC?
>>29118131>another skinwalker EVFTFY
>>29118131>crying over the 2CVThe 2CV was basically a french beetle, i.e. a shitbox. Why would you care if a new shitbox is an EV?
>>29118131>rapist eyes
HorribleThe only one they should bring back is the DS or that open beach buggy
>>29118249>raped and dying mad about it eyes
>>29118159Ford needs to make an electric Model T.
>>29118131You can get real ones electrified. Broken Teslas can be useful.
They turned the Multipla into a pickup with two seats abreast.
I think it's an excellent idea, because Citroën has really struggled in recent years with an inconsistent product lineup. The 2CV is an automotive icon, but just as you can't recreate the *Mona Lisa*, you can't recreate it exactly as it was—and believe me, I wish that were possible (I own a 1984 2CV France 3, to rebuild it later), and 2cv is my passion since I'm 8 (I'm 41 now).Stupid European regulations no longer allow for the production of inexpensive cars; M1E regulations will give us the opportunity to build small electric cars with far less safety equipment (which is the most expensive component today).I don't mind the idea of a modern reinterpretation of the 2CV. Back in the day, the original had a 25-liter tank, a range of around 300–350 km, and a top speed of 100–110 km/h (figures for the final, most powerful versions). So, an electric version with a small battery wouldn't be all that different from the original 2CV: an affordable car for short trips. It isn't a highway cruiser; it was never designed for long-distance travel.I sincerely hope it will be a commercial success; Citroën has suffered far too much and needs to reconnect with its identity.
>>29118357>a fucking BRACELET
>>29118131It's beautiful.
>>29118131I'm not sure how I feel about this.>>29118357I kinda dig it, but I doubt it'll see the light of day though.
>>29118131
>>29118349This looks great.>>29118131This looks temu.
It looks more like a Beetle.
>>29118131does it have the fancomagic suspension of the original?
>>29118160they literally hired the Renault designer who did it to do 2cv
>>29118172car packaging was awful in the past, 60s American landyachts had less space than modern crossovers 30% shorter
French car companies are weird in how they copy each others directly. I understand why BMW and Mercedes are in a cold war, but does Renault really look at what Citroen does and see it as the place to copy?
>>29118249Were these softer than burger landbarges back in the day? EVs make great cruisers but the american ones are the size of aircraft carriers, g*rman ones are 'sporty' (shit) and chink ones report you to the cccp. French boats are what i need.
>>29118131>another Retro EV>whyBecause EVs have no soul so they try to fabricate it with retro styling.
>>29118131Looks like shit but the production model will be even worse as they won't get away with pillars that thin. It'll have to be bloatmaxxed. The facsimile of a vintage steel bumper is fucking awful.
>>29118880>It'll have to be bloatmaxxed. If they manage to get the EuroKei specs adopted, they will be able to downgrade several crash safety requirements, including pillar width.
>>29118810McDonald's front and torsion beam rear We can't get too creative
>>29118865You're not supposed to take the French seriously.
>>29118938>mfw EuroKei cars will be the only way to escape the Ursula BLEEPS and BLAMS and A-pillars that block your entire viewwe're back racers
>>29118131I would fuck around in this if it had 400 miles of range.
>la deucheTechnically accurate but sounds like bougnoule speak now
Moderniggers cannot create, only destroy.
>>29118950>400 miles of rangeI never owned a car with such a range and it never bothered me. Realistically, the longest trip I would make in one go is 500 km, once a year, maybe...
>>29118357If this works properly I'll buy it
>>29119039Nice blog post faggot, some of us drive further.
>>29118168>communistsThis is just liberalism. Communists were practical regimes and would never penalize their own mobility like this.
>>29119078The Eastern bloc had plenty of domestic oil. For some reason you guys just keep playing dumb around this topic. In the old days, Europe could bring in several times more in manufacturing exports than it sent out buying crude. But with Asian manufacturing fully online, there are plenty of former customers who are buying Chinese. There also could be political strings attached considering where most of the oil is coming from. Have you ever considered the possibility that Muslim states demand Muslim immigration for continued oil sales? If you don't agree, the lights get turned off.Having viable alternatives does not penalize your mobility, it safeguards it.
>>29118131>>29118159yeah i wonder what's causing that...
>>29119074And you refuse to stop to fill up your car faggot?
I hate the headlights. And the yuge logo on the front. And the bumper. Change these things and I'll buy one.
>>29119131>Fill up gas> 5 minutes>Charge up EV >Minimum 22 minutes to get 80%Yes these are the same
>>29119121Damn that nu-jag mogs even though it's tenany coded
>>29119143There's Chinese cars that can charge much faster.
>>29118131Love the door handlesLove the wheelsLove the overall sizeStill an ugly car though. I'm curious to see what peugeot will do with the platform if this ever becomes succesfull.
>>29119078Isn't that protectionism? Liberalism is all about free markets.
>>29119173Are you retarded? Is the car in OPs pic Chinese?
>>29118190>The 2CV was basically a french beetleWasn't it the other way around? Iirc Citroen had to hide the blueprints of the car (probably 2 sheets of paper man) during the occupation.
>>29119196Stellantis is taking all the tech from Leapmotor so they may as well be Chinese.
>>29119143Spending 22min on a 10 hour trip is a problemRiiight....
>>29119304Considering that's 2 charges best case scenario yeah, an extra 40 minutes of delays is a pain in the ass.I really wish you ev cucks would just kys
>EVs>2026Wut"Yeah goy just be a good little retard and spend an extra 30% on an EV because?? Pay no attention to the fact that it will take 10 years to break even in gas costs!"Even if you can charge at home EVs barely make sense
>>29118131>just copy the mfukin new twingo
>>29119233The Beetle was in production a full decade before the 2CV.
>>29118131>builds electric retro 2CV >doesn't call it the 2EV
>>29119395The KdF Wagen was never mass produced. The factory was switched to the war effort and produced the Kübelwagen instead. They only began civilian production during the British occupation.
>>29118869The days of the frogbarge that rides like a cloud are far behind us, the C5 and C6 were the final evolution of Citroën's hydropneumatic suspension and those ended production well over a decade ago.
>>29118131here, fixed this crappy design, what are these ppl even paid for
looks like a toy car
>>29119415Who said mass production? But the idea that Ferdinand Porsche somehow took the Beetle design from the 2CV is the biggest bit of frogcope I've ever seen.
>>29118131>La deucheThey misspelled "douche".
>>29119641Who said that the beetle copied the 2CV?
