>>29118202is the alfa logo a display/led?
>>29118220Yes, sadly. The concept is made on Giorgio and has the 2.9 V6 updated as a hybrid engine, more powerful than the Giulia Quadrifoglio one.
>electrificationIt's over.
>>29118229this will sell good in china
SEXOOOOO
Chinky Chinese tier design. It's what a tacky retard finds cool
>>29118244>>29118233It's ok to be a contrarian faggot, but this concept is a citation of many Alfa Romeo different models.
>>29118250
This concept is the equivalent of pic related for BMW, it's a car that anticipates future Alfa Romeo models. They said that they will release a crossover and a new Giulietta with this design between '27-'28.
Wow that's fucking awful.
>>29118202it looks like every over designed concept car but at least the brand still has enough support to make new things
>>29118202>$85,000
>>29118202can't tell if peak or slop
>>29118496That means 35k used in 4 years after 12 recalls, 4 owners, 20+ carfax dealership full service overcharged maintenance events, and just after its out of the 3 year/30k mile warranty period.
>>29118229>stretched SP Iconic with an alfa snoutMazda keeps producing amazing designs, not putting them into production, and then the Italians build it and it sells like mad (see also: Ferrari Roma)
>>29118202>hybrid Italian carBest make friends with your local workshop if you haven't already
>>29118229>2.9 V6 updated as a hybrid engineThe production version of that car is going to be pigfat like the new Audi RS5.
>>29118202looks like it ate a lemon>>29118498it's some video game, tard
>>29118784A fully hybrid with electric generators and a battery gives +70~130kg and if it’s a plug-in +150~250kg which in the worst case puts the Giulia in the 1.8 tons zone
>>29118202Everyone who thinks this looks bad should kill themselves in their pragmatic toyotoa
>>29118917It looks bad. Come at me.
>>29118968Post a car you think looks good
>>29118202>electric and hybrid >in a car brand notorious for having shit electrics
>>29118917The overall shape is great, it's the details that are awful. The nose is hideous, although pretty much all alfa's suffer from thatCreating the front grill out of a lite-brite boardThe ugly ass wheelsThose fucking side "mirrors" which don't fit the aesthetic of the car at all, which I'm also sure are just camera housings because they're too small to have actual useful mirrors in themThe tail lights look like an afterthought glued on to the rear fasciaWTF is that exhaust pipe?Gaudy graphics on the inside of the doors2 halves of completely different styles of seat glued togetherEverything covered in velour like it's 1973Yoke steering wheel... for fuck's sake can we please stop doing this stupid shit?Motorized gauge cluster, how long do you think something like that built by alfa is actually going to function? And on top of all that bullshit, it's only going to be an EV or hybrid.
>>29118202meh
>>29118202Build for new spark plugs, fuel pump, radiator, starter, battery, ground strap, PCV, every 12 months.
>>29118202>alt-premium
newbadfags will be livid
RbG (Raped by Giulia)
mostly great exterior except the ugly stripe/ridge/fake-heatsink detailing.mostly awful interior that takes a good general layout and makes it as obnoxious as possible instead of as driver centric as possible
>>29118917ThisYou’re welcome, rest of the world.https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=7f_ivfEVDQ4https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=iYMWFkUyYlU
>>29119090Dude it’s a fucking concept car, are you and the other spergs complaining about details mentally challenged ?
>>29119118stellantis explicitly said that it would be the blueprint for Alfa Romeo designs going forward
>>29118229>hybrid
>>29119350ai did a good job here
>>29118752Why does Mazda balk so badly? It makes no sense when they could have a production "halo car" that isn't a MazdaSpeed MX-5 or whatever the could throw together tomorrow.
>>29118996>Creating the front grill out of a lite-brite boardkek, that was my first thought>hmmm that sure looks familiar
>>29119548they're one of the smallest major automakers and have a small R&D budget, a lot of which has gone towards engine development projects to try and keep ICE alive
https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a74108368/alfa-romeo-cuorerosso-concept-reveal-details/>hybrid>a reported curb weight of "just" 3858 poundslmao
>>29119909>>a reported curb weight of "just" 3858 poundsIt's less than a crown Victoria, which is considered a lightweight vehicle compared to modern ones
>>29118229it's absolutely beautiful. In a world where EVs can go 0-60 in under 2 seconds, performance is no longer the most important metric. Beauty and aesthetics are the most important, and in this regard, Alfa Romeo has won, decisively.
>>29119910The Crown Victoria is considered a land barge, nobody ever associated it with the word "lightweight".
>>29119917A Crown Victoria weighs 3800lbs. A Telsa Model 3 long range is 4,000lbs. A Cybertruck weight 7,000lbs. A Hummer EV can be up to 10,000lbs. The average new vehicle sold in the USA weighs between 4,300 and 4,500lbs. A Crown Victoria weights far less than the average new car today. It is a lightweight vehicle by current standards. I stand by my initial point
>>29118202Literally pic rel
>>29118917You chinese or a gypsy?
>>29119316>>29119318>>29119320>literal ai mash up tier design
>>29119933Lightweight doesn't mean "lighter than whatever the fuck the average amerimutt drives", I don't know what led you to believe otherwise.
>>29119947Stop whining you autist.Mercedes and Audi opponents are all obese above 2000 kg, the automotive world is not going back so you have to cheer for such weight nowadays even if it’s ugly because this is the norm nowadays so either you acknowledge that this car is 250 kg lighter than the German rivals or you just fuck off and ignore modern cars
>>29118899Real-world testing has the Giulia Quadrifoglio weighing around 1.7 tons, it's only slightly lighter than the base RWD BMW M3. Being a plug-in performance hybrid will definitely bring it over the 2 tonne mark.
>>29119959Nobody said that this concept is a plug-in hybrid, it could be MHEV or full hybrid without the plug-in.Also you people ITT are talking as if this car will be made. They announced a new Tonale and a crossover Giulietta similar to the Cupra Formentor, they specifically said that the D segment cars aka Giulia/Stelvio are “under study”.
>>29119962>new GiuliettaNic->crossoverFUCK
>>29119318I'd love a new 4C, but I imagine that's impossible in today's world.
It's a concept. Like the goofy stuff shown off a fashion shows, it'll be toned down before it becomes anything people can buy.
I could shit in my hands and fucking clap and it would look better than this abomination. Its like they took the 4C and said "Aight, now give it that Modern Slop™ look and ship it."They'll never make another Montreal or Alfasud, why do they even bother?
>>29119998I'll always be mad that they added 300lb to the murrican 4C to satisfy crash test requirements, and then never crash tested it. And there's fuckall you can do to remove that extra weight
>>29120195That's mostly a myth. The American 4C has heavier standard equipment. For example, leather dash and interior is standard, non-spider headlights standard, transmission cooler standard, etc. The claimed huge weight gain is because European cars are weighed with no options at all, but American cars include them. The crash structure (front and rear subframe reinforcements) added only a few dozen pounds to the car. For perspective, the entire rear subframe is only 83lbs. The small savings you can find, like swapping the US rear crash bar for an EU-style one, save all of 20lbs.
>>291199984C is one of those cars that I intensely desired when I was younger, but once I had the money for it I was in a stage in my life where I bought the Giulia quad instead. When my kids are in college maybe I'll buy the next 4C variant that comes out, to drive at 2k rpm 10mph below the speed limit to cracker barrel.
Wheels too big.
>>29118784I wonder what this will mean for the 690T parts availability. Early on people were going crazy with engines from wrecked cars going for 30k. Now you can pick them up running for ~5k.
>>29118202>Concept carYawn
>>29120712It's a style concept that shows how future Alfas will look like.Pic related was the BMW corresponding style concept and it correctly anticipated the future horrors they would have put into production.
>>29120451I've had my 4C for about a decade now and I'd take the opposite view: it's a car best enjoyed young. Its not particularly easy to get into, the ride is harsh and loud, and it's obviously wholly impractical. I don't mind any of this today, but I see a day in my future where getting in hurts my knees too much, or the ride is too rough on my back.I also think we're still in a good time to buy, if you have space for a second car. Prices have been stable long enough that this feels like the floor, at least in the US. The 4C is too rare to get much cheaper.
