I have an old van and the wheal covers are rusted through, and water is getting inside the cargo area of the van.

My main worry is this: how would you weld this? For some weird-ass reason, the wheal cover is made of TWO layers of sheat metal. I have no idea why, and after welding both layers I have no idea what you're supposed to do with the gap in between. Rustproofing it is going to be hard, and you're not supposed to stuff it with silicone either.

Year, make, model, anon? This might be a case where it's easier to buy reproduction patch panels if they exist, chop it all out to clean, easy to weld areas, and then attach the replacements.
