Just bought one of these to turn from a project into a daily, how badly did I fuck up? Got the 3.0 V6 manual version, specifically.

>>29119342You watched 2 Fast 2 Furious too often as a young and impressionable young man. "Enjoy" your Dodge Stratus with a body kit.
>>29119347I'm at work and can't go outside to take a pic of it, here's a shitty one I already have in my gallery>>29119356the reality is even worse. I wasn't even conceived for another 2 years when that movie came out, I just really like the body design and don't care too much about the performance to go the extra mile for a 3000GT.

The 6G72 is a very good engine, but the rest of the car is underwhelming. Dont build it out, just find a GSX/GST 2nd gen eclipse if you want a better car.Parts are abundant thanks to that motor being the heart of most mitsubishis.>t. A real mitsubishi enthusiast not a larper with headline knowledge like these other posers
>>29119368thanks for the heads up, I wasnt planning on building out anyways, more so I'm set on just fixing the already existing mechanical issues that are apparently very common with this gen, especially considering since the last owner redid nearly the entire interior. one thing I wish I took more into account was that the last gen had AWD, that might be the one main to really push me into selling this thing if it becomes too much to handle repairs-wise. market is also horrible in my area for 2nd gens, they're all beaten and broken down to shit, still with asking prices passing around $3k
I’ve had a 2nd gen and driven every gen but that one. Knew a lot of ppl with them. 2nd gens were already blown the fuck out 15 years ago. You made a decent enough purchase. Looks like it was in a minor front end accident but probably no biggie.
>>29119412yeah, my worst mistake was not asking for the accident history up front, but if I'm being honest the past owners weren't going to give me a straight answer anyways. luckily if there was one it doesn't seem to be on paper or reflecting on my insurance cost, so we're all good.
