Got new ATE brake pads + rotors and dust shields changed on the front however it seems like the car brakes are dragging, acceleration is worse than before. Is it going to get better as the brake pads break in or it's most likely a seized caliper?
Did you grease the caliper slide pins? Gotta do that every time.
>>29119951I didn't do the brake job
>>29119953Well, it could be a slide slide pin is stuck. A caliper's piston is stuck, they used the wrong sized pads, maybe some other things. Don't touch them, hover your hand near the rotors after driving *lightly* with minimal intentional braking are the brakes searingly hot? Could it be in your head, is the difference that noticeable?
>>29119954>Is the difference that noticeable?Yeah, the car was definitely moving quicker before. I will drive 100-200km more and if nothing changes, I will call the guy
>>29119955>I will call the guyYeah, do that.
>>29119950>Is it going to get better as the brake pads break inNo, that has nothing to do with break-in. If your pads are dragging there's something wrong. >or it's most likely a seized caliper?Possibly. Does the car pull to one side? And, as another anon suggested, if you go on a long drive without touching the brakes, leat the car coast to a stop (no braking) and see if the wheels are hot.>>29119955>I will drive 100-200km more and if nothing changes, I will call the guyAnother 150 clicks isn't going to fix your problem. Do the basic checks to confirm it's brake rubbing, then call him.
>>29119950they fucked ur car m8
>>29119954This, or seized caliper, or they broke your rear caliper pushing it in without rotating. Or they fucked up your e-brake cable.
>>29119950>>29119969It's over....
Drove it a bit today, no wheel gets hotter than the other ones.
>>29120298did u lick it?
>>29119950Top mechanic here. Tops don't have brake pads, I think that's the problem.
