Isn't the Fit/Jazz supposed to be a sort of cross between a hatchback and a mini-minivan or a subcompact multi-purpose vehicle? Makes sense that it'd be taller than the average hatchback.
I don't think it ever sold well even in hatchback heavy markets like Europe. Honda pricing being what it is, you could just buy a wagon or a crossover instead and probably get considerably better comforts, too.
