The Range Rover has supplanted the S-Class & the 7-Series as Executive Luxury Car of Choice. Wealthy Neighborhoods used to be crawling with S-Classes & 7 Series, now it's Range Rovers. Mercedes Benz has been trying to force its customers to buy non-offroad capable crossover GLE/GLS SUVs, but they're rebelling. Their clients either want either the offroad capable Range Rover or the offroad capable G-Class. After all, If you're going to get an SUV that doesn't have offroad capablility, what's the point?
>>29125710>jeetsheetlol no. Literally only range rovers I see on the road that aren't old af are h1b management types. They were unreliable in an endearing sense back when they were British owned, now it's just sad junk.
>>29125710Is there a tough offroad trail between their gated suburb and downtown office?
>>29125718Yes, they're called potholes & also ice & snow. That's why they don't daily drive exotic sports cars.
S Class is just a car youtuber meme. People haven't been buying luxury sedans for 20 years.
>>29125710You must live in Europe or something. Wealthy neighborhoods here pretty much all have the same types of vehicles. The man pretty much always has a top trim pickup truck and a weekend toy or two and the wife has a Yukon Denali/Escalade or some Germslop large crossover/SUV. Range Rovers are not very common because most people are terrified of their crippling reliability and depreciation. People buy on road SUV's because they're infinitely better than a sedan.
>>29125771Where do you live? In the Northeast, European luxury cars are dominant, also Japanese. Escalades & Cadillacs in general are less common.
>>29125771> You must live in Europe or somethingIn America it entirely depends on where you are.In liberal coastal cities, upper middle class people drive european cars exclusively. You will not find a single lincoln or cadillac in the entire suburb. Of course you will still see some "luxury trucks" because that's kind of ubiquitous in america, but that is much more common in middle america among upper middle class people, as well as yukons/escalades
>>29125771The only people who complain about Range Rover reliability are internet commenters who can't afford one and like to parrot takes to feel involved. Rich people don't care about maintenance costs.
>>29125773>>29125776I'm in Alberta which is like the Texas of Canada so people tend to swing towards the more rugged side of things.>>29125777Rich people don't get rich by wasting money on stupid shit. Most of them are extremely cheap. They always do research on a vehicle before dropping that kind of money. They're not going to spend $200k on a SUV that will be worth $50k in 4 years nor will they spend 2x the lease payment on one if it's going to spend half that time at the dealership. That's just financially retarded.
>>29125803Stop pedalling that old crock of shit. Rich people love showing people how rich they are. They're more conspicuous than ever right now.
>Land Rover sold 12,700 Range Rover in 2026. (From Jan - Sep 2026)>BMW sold 20,197 X7 in 2026. (From Jan - Sep 2026)...
>>29125803>Rich people don't get rich by wasting money on stupid shitrich people don't get rich by wasting money, but they start balling out once they are rich. like a catholic schoolgirl going to a party college.
>>29125803They didn't get rich by being wasteful, but after a certain point it literally does not matter what you do, the money adds up faster.
Rich people know penny pinching is a midwit wagie mindset.
>>29125803>Rich people don't get rich by wasting money on stupid shitRich people also don't get rich by saving money either, dudeSaving even $100k on a car, which is a LOT of money, is still barely anything when you factor in how much you earnSaving money only keeps you not poor, it doesn't make you rich. Unless youre a nepo baby who already has a lot of money.
>>29126123>>29126133>>29126246Y'all need to talk to some actual wealthy people instead of taking financial advice from some influencers.
>>29126305What exactly is "wealthy" to you? Because i know your type, you will say "wealthy" is only if you have a net worth of $15 million or something, so because that represents 0.02% of the population that I never meet in my life, you can win the argument.
>>29126319Wealthy to me is a ~1-15 mill net worth. I think you think wealthy is a couple bringing in $250k a year. That's just upper class. They obviously will have disposable income. They're the type of people who would buy something like a Range Rover despite it being a terrible financial decision. This is why they're just upper class and not wealthy. I live in a oil city and work for a lot of multi millionaires and the occasion billionaire so ymmv if you're a thirdie.
>>29126353>Wealthy to me is a ~1-15 mill net worth.I hope you meant 10-15, because 1m is almost nothing these days.
>>29126353>~1-15 mill net worththese people are filling 5-car garages with cars either newer than 4 year old (typical euro warranty) or older than 20 years old (old off-roaders seem to be the trend for now)
>>29126357In that case I'm sure you'd loan me a mil for a business venture, as it's almost nothing to you The business venture is a storage unit complex with some of them being double sized with a two post lift inside. I'll put it up reasonably near my closest race track. I'll leave room for expansion so I can add an auto parts store on the same property that's open late and a fast food franchise.
>>29126381what type of franchise?
>>29125710>nowtypically they were paired together, so people would have an s or e class/big saloon and a range rover. >>29125718range rovers filled a british niche. the aristocracy and yeomanry (old hereditary landed/farming families without title) would buy them because you could use them on the farm and then hose them off (or maybe not, depending on how rich you were) and drive them to town/church. much like holden/ford utes in australia. land rovers where used in the same way, just as a down market version.
>>29125803>Rich people don't get rich by wasting money on stupid shit.lol, lmao. there's rich and then there's 'rich'. 'rich' people still count money, actual rich people can't really do anything that will compromise there bottom line so it doesn't matter.
>>29126353>I think you think wealthy is a couple bringing in $250k a year. That's just upper class.those are the sorts of people who still have to care about interest rates. they're more like the people you're thinking of than you think. they're not the people buying hypercars for example.
>>29127238Market research shows the best options would either be burger-focused (McDonald's/burger king/culvers) or Mexican (taco johns/taco bell). Depending on permitting though, it might be a better value option to go with a Casey's gas station because those have a kitchen and serve higher quality food than most convenience stores
>>29127607>taco john>culvers>Casey's gas stationSo you are in the midwest?
>>29129341presumably
>>29125710that's only because the GLS is so goofy lookingrange rover won by default
>>29126381These days $50k is a lot of money while $1M isn't.
>>29129341Yep
I am a financial advisor. Most of my actually wealthy clients drive G Wagons and Yukons and a few have fancy sports cars like an RS 7 but those are usually divorced doctors or professional athletes. Upper middle class moms will either drive a BMW X5 or a Jeep. Indian techies drive Teslas. The biggest posers that want to look rich but aren’t always drive Jaguars. Grandma that inherited her husbands 401k splurges on a Lexus crossover.
>>29131091Your information is out of date since jaguars are out of production.
>>29131107That’s kind of the point anon.
