Just umagine a cute series 1 with a screaming V10 from M5
>>29127059Whos gonna buy it?
>>29127059It would be cool. But the way (((emissions laws))) are framed we instead get full size trucks where the biggest engine is a v6 smaller than 4L, the m5 hassn't had a v10 in ages and least some of the merc -63 cars have their 6.3 replaced by literally a 2.0 4cyl.
>>29127066Those who want a crazy fast car
USG
>>29127059Hartge did it in 2006.
Stuff like that does happen time to time.BMW 1 series was pushing it a lot already with having a engine selection matching the 335i/340iMercedes has the W204 C class with a 6.4L V8, and then Alfa Romeo and VW put a 3.2 V6 in the front of the 147 and Golf R32, Renault put a 3.0 V6 in the rearTypically any short chassis/big engine cars drive like shit though. Rarely the truly fastest engine option too once tuners give the smaller, turbocharged engines a tune up.
>>29127059what about a 1000tipla?
>>29127059dont know what country you're from but here in the uk we've already got enough retards in their m140is/35is. they never shut up about muh b58 so for the love of god please dont advocate for a v10 1 series.
>>29128238fun
>>29128238That has better rear seating than the new Jaaag.
>>29127070
>>29127059emissions laws mean it is preferable to put a V8 in an SUV than a compact carsame reason why there's no small pick-ups any more
>>29127059The bigger the power the more things need to build around that power. Chassis that doesn't deform under preassure. Brakes that can actually stop the car safely and quickly. Suspensions that can actually handling the force. Wheels that can accomodate the weight and load. Transmission that can survive the torque and power spikes/shocks. Engine bay that can fit the big engine while still providing enough room for maintainance and cooling. All of that translates to weight and size. And we aren't even talking about safety standards or emissions yet.

>>29127059small cars handle better with lightweight engines
