Why is driving and parking so fucked in Australia?

>Parking is $45.75
>Register a car in WA is like $1200 a year
>Cheapest without concession is $699, and a 4 cylinder is $773
>Diesel is $180 for 110L

Australia is less a country and more a confederation of city states. Anyone living outside of the state capitals is effectively under exile, having little in the way of prospects. So, the people are all crammed in to the few major metros, where space is increasingly at a premium. Lack of political foresight means that almost everyone drives, and in order alleviate this congestion you are required to pay for the privilege of transportation.

Just move to the US. Americans like people with Australian accents. You'll do great!

australia is just one really big ponzi scheme. that's all there is to it.
there's been a few anons here over the years that moved to burgerland and they live like a king on more or less the same income, simply because of things like their taxes not also having taxes.

Australian here, I just ride a motorbike
>weather is good enough year round
>parking is free, I can park on the footpath right in front of the shop I want
>rego is cheaper
>fuel costs are a non-issue for most bikes
>filtering is legal

Only in the worst city in Australia man. I used to work at Yamaha City (back when Aprilia city existed). Hauling 15 bikes on the foot path every morning whilst about 3000 people walk past was aids, but a fun aids. Dropped a fat fuck Falco once coz the panniers clipped a docile pajeeta on her phone lol.
Also I live in Japan now, motorcycle parking for big bikes is very rare but cheap, 125 mini bikes like Groms are the way to go in the city. I live inna woods tho so rarely need to park.
Car parking in Tokyo is fuckrd but Osaka is about 8-20 bucks for 24 hours in the busy parts.

i love it when people bfake hard for yellow lights they had weeks to get through simply because of a red light camera that wouldn't even have caught them
