I'm here to explain to some of you dopes that you stupid quests for this, that, and the other; pretentious talk about "cornering" and "top speed" and stuffing aspiration mechanisms into things to blow them up misses the entire point of the *Beauty* of a machine.
There's not a one of you taking the best of every part of what you'd need out of a car and getting some of all of it! AVERAGE!
You've heard of average haven't you? You know, basically not getting fucked in any particular direction? Hmmm? Wouldn't it be nice for once to "take off" and "stop" equally as well? Wouldn't you want a bit of a stereo, one which you could intelligibly listen to Brahms or ELO or something, but not one that glows seven colors and pulverizes your brain? And tire size. Let's get off it 16" is absolutely huge for a motor car. There need not be much above 18" or so until you're in an F-650, and then duals will be fine.
Carbon fiber. On street cars you take shopping. A knob wing you've had bolted to that civic, can you actually tell me it's helping you or costing some percentage of the tire's life.
I'm not buying all this "features" shit. It's tryhard status symbol shit.
Average is perfectly fine and you should be satisfied. We ought to declare ourselves for being Sensible men. Moderate men.
>>
Some of you apes would be all for it if we called it "multilateral optimization" or something.
Anti-civilization mindset.

Sounds like a poorfag’s excuses.

Why is this blue?
Raise your hand if you've said "oh that's a top job on the brakes' paint!". Have you gone to a Brakes Show?
Can we just have the nice brakes for $400 instead of the blue ones for $401 because I'm already paying above OEM $250?
>>

All the money you put into this, why wouldn't you simply get an excellent sedan? What pray tell is wrong with a coupe or sedan, a normal car that won't shatter without a tech crew?
>>
File: azure.jpg (101 KB, 1000x666)
101 KB JPG
This is the same price as a McLaren 750S and guess what? You'll get your money out of it. It's a NORMAL car that looks average!
And at this point, you might as well an M3 instead and save. It's all the much better for anyone I think.
>>

More rich people have owned this car in this model year than have owned a corvette, bottom line.
>>
https://prod.azure.ihsmarkit.com/mobility/en/research-analysis/wealthy-americans-top-car-brands.html

It's overwhelming. Those with the money to choose freely, choose Sensible and Average as a core value.
>>
This unironically is the overall and all around best car ever.
It's peak car even, it gets the job done and nothing more.
There's nothing fancy or boisterous to it, there's nothing extra, it just is the most boring piece of shit car ever made that refuses to die.

Frankly there isn't much if anything you can fault it.
It's not fast, fancy or luxurious, but it doesn't need to be.
>>
>>29129012
Now there is a smart man. It's got some torque, it can move in snow, the seats aren't welded sheet steel with 30 lap belts.
African american gangsters will never, ever, shoot at this car. Cops will never stop it so long as the muffler is attached.
You'd be fine.
>>
A6. Some styling, no problem. No wings or pointy bits or colored brakes. It'll handle and launch a bit so's your cock doesn't shrink off, don't worry. No one will ever remember this perfectly capable car.
>>
File: seven.jpg (246 KB, 1000x1250)
246 KB JPG
If you absolutely need to rip your face off going nine thousand miles per hour, why would you ever get a Veyron? This'll about beat the pants off it, feel far more dangerous, handle better, and not cost half as much I'm sure (haven't checked).
But it's reasonable to look at this and expect it's a bit fast without looking like some plastic nightmare space ship. Any normal person can imagine this when you say you drive a race car.

So you're telling me that the best car is a Mercury Grand Marquis? I suppose I already knew that, but I appreciate you telling me, Mr. May.
>>
For you two wheelers; what on earth could possibly be an improvement on this?
>>
>>29128945
>>
>>29129041
Numbers are for people who want to earn themselves a mental disorder.
Whack the throttle, this car feels wonderful. It's loud. You won't blast past the speed limit but you won't have a welded crossmember in your ass.
You could put half a slot car collection in it and have room to drive.
I picked James for the picture because he's got a normal human brain. Something that should be aspired to.
>>
>>29129040
>and not cost half as much I'm sure
Caterhams run in the $20-50k range depending on the spec. But a Locost replica that you build in your garage can be cobbled together for $10k and will indeed feel faster and be more fun to drive than any "supercar" ever.
>>
>>29129046
That said, it's hardly an "average" car. A 7 replica is as far from average as it gets.
>>
>>29129046
We'd have our world if driving tests included a brake pad and oil change on your own. I bet that's all we need as much as I hate new laws.
>>
>>29129049
It's the most average thing you can restyle your hair with in that speed and handling class.

>>29129058

>>

>because cable driven gauges require frequent maintenance
This is just objectively false. Most tach and speedo cables are pretty resilient, and the very, very large majority of cable gauges I've seen in cars that are decades old are still working and have never been greased. I've seen more dash screens and wheelspeed sensors fail than I've seen broken tach cables.
>t. mechanic for 30 years
>>
>>29129057
Because you're a porfligate spender with no class and an aversion to the tiny mechanical bits surrounding you.
>>
>>29129077
Even your mechanic has the brains to understand that things eventually average out to the best in a darwinian process. He doesn't want to work on your unicorn horse shit either. It makes sense to have familiar predictable things going on. If you want excitement, date an alcoholic single mother.

And the modders.
40 engineers with the history of humanity's worth of expertise and so may degrees you could form a paper mache bridge...
no buy you and a Jeggs catalog have got a secret. Amazon next day shipping availability is more important today than engineering anyhow. I suppose you can tune it so much better than they can.

>that’s why they ALWAYS neuter it with a lift-kit to appease the women and old guys who buy new cars, you see???

You don’t even have a car
>>
>>29129104
Yes, it's now extreme to have any kind of personal center. Wonder how we got to brand logo shaped bolt heads.
It's you. You fight it every which way. Couldn't uderstand for example we hit perfect in the supercar world between 1985 and 1995 and then it was just GAH. Just vomit really.
>>29129107
I have a perfectly normal 2015 GMC. It's a truck, which does truck things, made by truck people. It doesn't look like an Aztec or some sport horse shit. It's a half ton because I won't be towing the house. Which of course being two bedrooms and a 1 car garage is not nearly enough either. No marble fountains I'm afraid.

>>29129114
You cannot honestly tell me that the entire experience of owning a car pivoted so hard in any direction as to start dominating it's entire being is good. "Specialized" is another word for getting half the value for twice the bonehead attitude. It's childish.

Idiot.

I got it. It has to have RGB lighting and lots of plastic.
Do you think women look at this and see value in you or do you think they'd like to see a guy in a car that has room for a car seat? Your flashy kid toy is the brownoid money scam, and you're getting old for this.
>>
The best car is a 1999 honda civic. I currently drive a 2024 Range Rover.
>>
>>29129124
Do you think it's ultimately rewarding to love a machine that costs so much of any one person's income yet does nothing but consume itself when you choose to make it more than what it's supposed to be?
Which is the heart of it. NONE of you have read "Zen and the art of Motorcycle Maintenance" which should be the first thing a mechanic ever reads!

I don't like this car for a multitude of reasons but being daring is one thing it does have in common with early Jaguars.
