Curbed my father's cx-50. I'm trying to avoid buying new rims, but I have no experience with fixing these sort of things. Is this something I could use sandpaper on to get the gougues out and then use automotive paint on the painted part?Advise please.

I'm looking at alloy wheel repair specialist now. Thanks for letting me know id be wasting my time on machined rims
You'd have to paint the painted areas and polish out the machined areas. Better left to a pro. If you have a shitbox you can just mask off the tires, lug nuts, valve stem and rotor/pads and scrape off the old shit and then hit it with primer and color similar to the original. Did that on mom's element recently.
>>29129014apologize to your father and tell him you already bought a new wheel.
