why is it that every photo of these is some ultra-tacky restomod interior? why is it so hard to find photos of the stock interior?
>>
>>29136214
Because classic trucks are a huge trend with zoomers right now and they buy them with the intention of making the interior as tacky and tech-forward as possible.
>>

boomer trucks were primitive shit we've come a long way since then

I have 4th and 7th gen Chevy trucks, they both earned their keep hauling firewood and construction materials.
Now I have an F150 nutruck that hauls ass and whatever else I want it to. I'd rather be driving the old trucks but 10 mpg or less is mildly annoying, and the nutruck has shitloads of power and is whisper quiet.
I don't give a single shit what some mongoloid queer like op thinks about it from his stall at the bus station

It's a small driving school we do a few times a year for newer drivers.
Includes stuff like avoidance maneuvers, stop boxes and a but of light autocross.

The zoom zooms are usually driving shit boxes like 2000 Toyotas or hondas
The zoomies with more car guy cars are all mid 90s to 2000s shit.
They aren't buying 70s trucks

Dodge would have been worse, but back at that time their pickup trucks were mostly for the fleet market and they didn't sell many retail ones compared to Ford and GM.
>>
>>29136460
This is true for their passenger cars as well. If you drove any GM car from the 50s-60s and then drove a Ford or Chrysler one, the difference in interiors, ride, handling, and drivetrain refinement is fairly stark.
>>
>>29136382
I have (2) 1960s trucks.
They were designed to be utilitarian, not comfortable or ergonomic.
So you can fuck off, poser notruck basement dweller.
>>
>>29136469
The truck division at Ford and GM was considered punishment for engineers who screwed up elsewhere and nobody wanted to be assigned to it. It was only in the 70s when the luxury truck started to emerge as a concept.
>>
>>29136204
Have you been in a modern piece of earth moving or agriculture machinery? Their interiors are opulent as well. Ever hear the expression work smart not hard? Being unproductive and uncomfortable doesn't make you any more of a man. It makes you more of a woman if anything.
>>
>>29136469
if your truck has air conditioning and a radio (these were considered luxuries in the 60s) it is a luxury truck.

If you want to prove how much you love being uncomfortable while you work, strip out the soft bench sits and install flat metal plating.
>>
>>29136204
I'm not a retard so I don't get confused when there are computers, sensors, codes, electronics and what have you in the car. >>
>>29136510
It's the inner voice of a domesticated modern man yearning for masculinity and their reference is stereotypes and tropes in culture. Unfortunately real masculinity is impossible in 2026, not because of muh liberals, but because of the way western society itself is set up, but I digress.

A 40/20/40 is 2 bucket seats with a center portion that can be a bench type seat with arm rests and center console folded up.
A 60/40 is similar but only in 2 pieces.

Pic is my Ranger 60/40 without the center console arm rest/cup holder.
>>
>>29137067
They don't need adjustment, it's padded and springy and perfect. Anything more is just retarded bloat. Let me guess you want heated seats for your sore ass? Lol. Get the fuck out of here with that nonsense.

The only option that might be an upgrade would be an air ride seat, but that would be overkill for any pickup truck. A tractor that you're bouncing across furrows with on the daily yes. Semi truck that you're putting a million miles on yearly on some rough as shit roads, sure. Pickup? Nah, they're already comfy enough as is.
>>
>>29137481
And just to clarify.
This is a 1986 Fullsize Bronco with Captain's chairs and removable (cooler) center console.
I also have one of these but its out at my hunting cabin (deer season started a week ago) and this is a better pic to explain the setup than what I have saved.

In a 40/20/40 or a 60/40, the arm rest/ center console folds up to be the back of the chair for a middle passenger.
With buckets or captains chairs there is no center position.
>>
>>29137490
>Let me guess you want heated seats
Alright little bitch.
Let me school you.

I ditched the A/C in my mustang because I didnt like where the accessories were positioned with the paxton kit on my 347.
I was in Las Vegas.
My first summer there was 63 days where the temperature never went below 95°F.
Im talking 2 months of 4 A.M. and its 98 degrees and at noon its 112°.
In a black car.
I would get off work and find pieces of bic lighters scattered around my car because it exploded from the heat. (100% true).
So you can eat a fucking dick with your "omg he wants to be pampered" bullshit.

I dont want to herniate a disc when I hit a speed bump.
I want to recline my seat when im on a 1,400 mile trip.
I want to actually enjoy my drive.

You can get an E450 for less than some F150s, just get a cab chassis and put a bed on it. Way more capable than any cucktruck except the highly expensive models, and bare bones as hell with even manual windows and locks still offered. Or a cabover cab chassis and put a bed on it.

The reason most men buy trucks is not fir their work ability, it's for looks and a false sense of masculinity. Cucktrucks are not practical and ridiculously priced, but some feel they need to buy a sense of ruggedness and masculinity.

Except for those are all extreme strawman arguments. If the vehicle came with a bench seat factory then you don't need the vibrating prostate massager 3000 version for your weak ass.

Boats are completely retarded and a waste of money.
Shovel is fine and even superior for small/tight quarters tasks, so unless you're trenching or digging a huge hole a backhoe isn't even close to the same tool for the job, also how would you possibly use a backhoe because they don't come with lazyboy recliners with back massagers in them? Not that you'd know you absolute poornigger.
Iron sights are fine, and sometimes superior to optics. But each has their place and time.
Fans are fucking amazing for moving air around. A/C is great in the month long 110 degree heat (which I also live in so don't give me any sad fucking stories about your poor little lighter blowing up you giant flapping pussy.)

Oh no, how could I ever manage to drive pic-rel manure truck, it has a bench seat! Oh the horror! Better get on 4chan and cry about it like some limp-wristed faggot.

Its amazing that you have to discuss sexual deviance in a conversation about seats. Says a lot about you.

The rest of your post is just pitiful. Its obvious you were never on the debate team.
>b-b-but the bench seat was factory so it's fine!!!
That just shows you live in poverty. I guess engine swaps are verboten also.
What about models that had a bench as standard but higher trims had something else? Are you going to pull out captain's chairs and replace them with a bench?
>>
>>29137949
It's amazing your ass is so weak a bench seat is like pure torture for you, I'm assuming every other aspect of your life is similar torture because of your weakness, and you are a scrawny limp wristed fag that needs the soibot to open your sqround bottles for you because your strength is waning.

Also you talk about poverty when it's painfully obvious you have no money.

If the stock engine is worn the fuck out and an engine swap is a viable option, then yeah I'd do an engine swap. If the captain's chairs are worn out then you bet your weak ass I'd swap to a bench seat over captain's chairs.

You thought this was some kind of "manly" flex!?!?
Your life really is shit.
Literally.

Bench seat is a deal breaker. I don't want to go slipping and sliding
>>
>>29138768
Lol. You wanted opinions on work trucks. Well you're getting it straight from the source. Its obvious you don't ever actually do anything except bitch and cry about your dainty ass, so why don't you just get an EV with heated/air conditioned massage seats?

Some of us actually do real work kid. You think that's all I do is haul shit? Lol, lmao even. That's was just an example of one of the roughest rides you can have in a leaf spring truck bouncing across a field for hours on end so hard you'll beat your head against the ceiling. Bench seat is still perfectly fine in that application. You're weak.
>>
>>29138887
>You wanted opinions on work trucks.
I dont see anywhere itt that was brought up except from you.

You think youre hardcore because you like bench seats but it just proves youre an idiot.
Ive been in the sandbox running an M978 from Anaconda to Mosul.
You have no fucking clue what real pain is.

Enjoy your backwoods, poverty stricken, sister fucking life i guess but personally im sick of hearing from you. Consider yourself on mute.

Have you noticed you have such a dainty little tushy you get butthurt at the truth?

There are several other posters in this thread saying the same things I have said. You just took what I said about bench seats being comfy super personal for some strange reason and have been getting your ass handed to you over and over again.

First you wanted me to post pictures of my "trucks" because your two disgusting interior pictures of your filth mobiles were some kind of big flex I guess? So I posted some pictures of my trucks. You then somehow mistook an obvious Ford for a Dodge, because you're such a massive cock-hungry faggot you obviously can't even think straight...

Then I posted trucks I actually own, used for real work that I do, that have honest to god bench seats in them, and get driven over rougher terrain than you'll ever see in your pavement pounding life, and all you can say is "ACKTUALLY bench seats just suck and are for poors, because I'm a giant pussy and just say so. OK? No one is talking about work trucks" When the fucking OP for the entire thread was "Truck used by men to do work vs. Yuppie spaceship designed to transport Becky to planet fitness and taylor swift concert"

Any more goalpost moving you want to do there little guy? Maybe you want to talk more about "herniating a disc when you hit a speed bump?" or "wanting to recline your seat when meeting up with your grinder dates?" Or how rough you had it that one summer when it didn't get below 95 degrees and your poor self had to sweat a bit? Want to talk more about poverty? I guaran-fuckin-tee I have more liquid cash floating around than you do, and way more assets too. Go ahead and let it all out lil buddy... this is your therapy session. Go ahead and let us all know how hard you have it and have a good cry.
>>
>>29137957
what is the point to a bench seat when a chair that every other model that the company builds can just be bolted in the truck?
>>
>>29139370
Nicer to have your girl or guy slide over and lean on you during trips, or at the drive in theater. That's the entire bench seat advantage.

sounds like it's not relevant in the slightest for a work vehicle to be honest.
makes sense, since i've never seen one in a single excavator, harvester, bulldozer, or even a skid steer in my entire career

Nice to see the goal-posts move yet again...

You can just admit you're a pansy ass and I'll let you off the hook. It's been fun milking the lols out of you though. Speaking of mind broken, what happened to "putting me on mute?"

Moo for me lolcow.

This guy just changed the definition of work truck to work vehicle and then stated that heavy equipment with single person operating stations don't have bench seats. Whew lad, he might be going to the Olympics with those mental gymnastics!

no it makes perfect sense. if it's meant for work it has a seat. if it's meant for larp it has a couch.

But apparently the couch isn't comfy enough for your pansy ass... Who's actually larping here? One of us owns a shitload of heavy equipment and work trucks. The other cries about his poor little rump. If you don't actually do any work, then why are you posting in the thread about work trucks?

BTW some equipment does have bench seats. But you wouldn't know anything about that now would you...
>>
>>29140307
cool, a wreck that hasn't run in three years and clearly hasn't been maintained in twice that. but at least the couch doesn't have a scuff on it!
it's strange that that's the hill you're trying to die on. for what purpose? is the loads of "real man work" that you supposedly do not justify it's own value to yourself?
if it did, it wouldn't matter what seat you, or another person uses. but since it does, it seems your work isn't worthwhile to you.
>>
>>29140316
Lol, holy projection batman. You're the one that got all riled up when I said bench seats are maximum comfy and then wrote a fucking chapter book about how you couldn't stand a bit of summer weather...

You're also the one that showed two filthy interiors of your vehicles that obviously aren't maintained in the least. Look at that shitty floorboard patch on your old ford and that filthy ranger interior. Have some dignity you worthless slob. I'm having a ball pwning you over and over and milking lols out of you though...

Grader runs fine btw, Go ahead and show me some of your heavy equipment and more of your "work trucks" Lol. You won't, because you don't have any.
>>
>>29140317
i'm not that anon buddy. that's a whole different person.

>that's the hill you're trying to die on. for what purpose
His collection of basic bitch poverty model pickups.

You know how collectors of (thing) will have different specimens to represent the wide range of whats available? His is just the same model over and over from different years.
Its like an autistic fetish.

i would think that if it is for the sake of collection, they'd at least be well taken care of. but i guess that runs afault of the "real man work" persona that his whole life is built around.
>>
Whole lotta samefagging damage control going on in here...

>>29140316
>cool, a wreck that hasn't run in three years
Lol, just to re-iterate you don't know a fucking thing about anything. You see that nice shiny moldboard? If it hadn't run in 3 years it wouldn't be that way, but once again you wouldn't know your ass from a hole in a bathroom stall.

>>29140380
>His is just the same model over and over

No, I have a pretty good range of makes and models of work trucks and equipment, but I do have several repeats of certain models that I do like. The 4 pictures I posted up were all completely different years and models.

>>29141239

They are taken care of. Which picture implies any of them are not? I'm not going to do a full restoration of a cat road grader.
It's mechanically functional, greased, oiled, and used several times per year. The filthy interior pictures with rusted out floorboards were the crybaby delicate ass guy.

Go ahead and post some more pics of your disgusting vehicles and all the equipment you own, and maybe I'll not immediately discard your worthless opinion.
>>
>>29136204
nobody actually uses their own car for work, they get issued a fleet vehicle. SUVs are larp for 99% of people unless you're really into offroading, and modern SUVs suck at that and have plush interiors that are hard to clean
t.tradie
>>
>>29141509
You do realize it’s not samefagging right? People are just dogging on you for being kind of stupid and playing up the whole manly man shtick.
>>
>>29141554
>ow my poor fragile little ass.

You entered a thread about work trucks with bench seats and get mad when someone states facts about work trucks with bench seats...

Why don't you start a plush/luxurious interiors for faggots with their larp-mobiles thread? I'll let you have that one since you're the expert on it.
>>
>>29141633
What are the facts you stated? Most everybody knows bucket seats are just better.
>>
>>29139650
just dont crash idiot
harder to give head with a seatbelt on anyways
>>
>>29141636
>What are the facts

Bench seats are comfy and 100% fine. Anything more is honestly bloat.

If it weren't true bench seats wouldn't even exist and everything would come with the ass massager seats. Just because everyone on the planet is getting soft because of their lack of testosterone doesn't make it any less true.
>>
>>29141641
They are pretty shit. Spend 24 hours in each and get back to me on that one. I’m not talking about high trim stuff exactly but I guess get your points where you can.
>>
>>29141641
Lol.
First you have to bring up industrial equipment in a thread about passenger trucks and now you think that the base model "good enough for peasants" option is the gold standard??
What's next- everything should just be a 6 cylinder because it was the "standard option"?
It's also odd how you are the only person that brought up heated/cooled/massaging seats as though everything thats not a bench has those options.

You keep changing the narrative to suit your own little "im a big burly man and you arent" fantasy.
You're completely mental.
Seek professional help.
>>
>>29141509
No vehicle that has rust on it anywhere is well taken care of
>>
>>29141641
>If it weren't true bench seats wouldn't even exist
That's crazy, because nobody offers them on anything
>>
>>29142006
Pretty sure they still come standard in fleet spec pickups (advertising bait on dealer websites "only 1 available at this price" kind of shit).
