Does anyone make significantly more than anyone else in your social circle yet drive the shittiest car? Feels good.
>>29137924Everyone in my social circle make stage same money at our union jobs.Only difference is they have 2x tye living costs as I do.
i easily drive the nicest car in my friend group of 0
I could afford a nice car without drowning in massive debt but I just prefer my shitbox over one as maintaining those types of car is a pain in the ass
Not really. I'm the only one with a sports car though. Others below my income bought more expensive econoboxes, or cheap shitboxes they got from their parents, or just don't own a car at all. It's less about income and more about personality.I think you have a very narcissistic personality to think of yourself as superior because of your income and items you have purchased.
>>29137924If you do this, you're not a car enthusiast. So why are you here?
>>29137924>social circleI have something more akin to a social cul-de-sac, in the sense that it's a dead end.

>>29137924up until last year, i drove the crappiest, or second crappiest car at my company of about 600 employees, a 2007 honda fit. interns and coop students drove a nicer car than i did.
>>29137924Unfortunately no. Wish I did though people are retarded about trucks and how much they cost.

>>29137924My ex-boss, a multi-millionaire owner of a printing press and lots of real-estate, used to ride one of these...
>>29137924nah, it's all audi/mercedes around me.
>>29137924Social circle?
>>29140353Employees drive kias and Hondas and Toyotas.Management drives bmws and Mercedes. Owner drives a 10yo f150My circle is Hondas and Toyotas. I have an Acura rdx 6cyl as my main character. I’m the only outcast with an e46 twink when bored.
>>29137924>early model Tacoma>shitty
>>29138308>Everyone in my social circle make stage same money at our union jobs.>Only difference is they have 2x the living costs as I do.This but unironically. My living costs are roughly half of most. There's one girl in our circle, takes home slightly more, but she insists on having the latest phone, a car less than 5 and lives on credit. Problem I've got is we're playing with fire, I'll treat hear and take her on the occasional date (which is cheaper than actual dating), and we'll get together but at some point one of us in going to catch feelings and suggest moving in with the other.
Everyone I know makes more than me because I'm the only one that wasn't a vet and they're VA welfare queens.
i bought a new corolla in '23 on the theory that used car prices would not come down to pre covid levels. i had to buy something right then as my old car finally gave up the ghost. buying -not leasing- a brand new car at all put me in the fancy lad spendy spender category at the time, relative to my coworkers.
>>29137924Are you implying that the 95-04 Tacoma is a shitbox?
>>29137924I like shitty cars because I'm not afraid to install something retarded like an 8 track player and custom mount in the dash. I'm not "ruining" anything by simply defacing them. Using a standard faceplate and logical mounting looks fine.I would not whip out a drill and add flip down fog lights to a nice car. There are plenty of things you can do to improve your life in a low milage ugly duckling.Dodge Stratus, base model 96 civic, once a dodge caravan gained a small passenger video system and the benches relocated to the sides. No collector will ever cry over this.

>>29137924i work at airport fbo there are buisness people with shitty cars and i wonder if they ever feel smug, like real rich people that would never post here. like there is this "regular" i think he is a board member of like kelly williamson or kwiktrip and he has a shitty dodge truck.
