Anyone here had experience with Jaguar XK, preferrably the 2012-2014 facelift? I am completely floored by the beauty and performance of this car and now want one. Insurance prices are through the roof though.

If its brit it's probably broke

I owned an XK-R with the 5l blower. Just a pulley and tune we laid over 600 whp.

Loved the car but it was closing 50k miles and someone offered almost what I paid (I got it second hand) so I let it go. Built a turbo SC300 for the wife and sunk rest into an Elise.

I miss having a super comfy rocket ship daily but trade worked out.

Never had problems with it but like I said sold at 50k miles.

Sounds like you didn't buy a car, sounds like you bought a temporary toy

exotic 20 year old european cars scare me.

They seem to age pretty well.

I was looking at the OP image, which is the car from the 2000s. still, you are playing with an old exotic european car. it should only ever be a temporary toy that you sell some few thousand miles later.

it’s a beginner tier car need for speed hot pursuit 2, on the same level as an opel speedster and ford crown victoria police car

Would you flip an aging Jag for a Toyota powered toy and something the wife loves (and is fun af).

I didn't expect to get rid of it but it fell in my lap. I just had one for a while and dailied it, so it was relevant to the OP.

if you just want big HP numbers in a luxury car at a cheap price I can understand wanting an f-type or xk-r.
But I can't understand why you wouldn't just spend the extra $5-10k and get a v8 vantage manual instead. Yeah, it'll be down on power vs the jaaaag, but everywhere else it's much better (interior, exterior, build quality, engine, transmission, weight, etc).

Why did the owner put it on a lift-kit?
That’s actually hilarious
brits are so cheeky innit
