I've seen them on minivans and 3 row SUVs like escalades. They work well for large families driving with a lot of shit. There's even hitch mounted shelves for just a little more capacity too.

That's what happened to me :(
Sedans outnumber wagons for the LTD crown vic 10 to 1 so I ended up with a sedan, I want to do something goofy someday like put a daytona wing on it to compensate for not being able to find a wagon.
I'd be able to fit so much more in it if it was a wagon...
