Strongly considering buying a 2018 Subaru Outback. How likely is it that it will have CVT issues? It has 50,000 miles right now and got a CVT & differential service at 36,000 miles. Are the transmission failures overblown?

I have a 2018 outback with 80k miles on it, had it since new. Zero problems whatsoever and it’s been a great car. I would suggest getting the CVT fluid changed every 60k.

eww why

You write like an insufferable faggot so your opinion doesn't matter

people will unironically think you're a faggot driving a subaru outback

I would never buy a Subaru that's not a manual WRX. If you need an outback get a Mazda cx5 instead

These things are so homosexual
Just get a STRAIGHT 6 E39, the Best Sports Sedan overall that there is

Not to defend a nu-outback, but this is 100% projection. That wouldn't even cross the mind of 99% of people. It's just an car.

CVT likely won't be an issue if you change the fluid as you should. Everything else will be the problem, Subaru stopped bothering with quality control the second they fixed the headgasket issue, and all of the suspension components wear out a lot faster than they should because they use the cheapest plastics and metals possible. Anything you need to do involving the lights will require you to remove the front bumper, and garages will assrape you for any work because they're a pain to work on and nobody wants to do it.

This is not the case, the lightbulbs are all easily accessible by simply opening the hood.

my dad drives a 2017, and has never changed the diff or transmission fluid. needed rear wheel bearings at 120k miles. otherwise has never had an issue

This proves that you are a massive faggot

The Mazda doesn't have a 6 cylinder option and is less comfy and can't actually go off road
