If you owned a car worth like $60k or more, how do you generally go about selling it in a way that's not a huge pain in the ass?
>>
>>29140764
You just take it into carmax/carvana and get your partial refund for your rental car.
>>
You don't. It will always be a pain in the ass.
>>
>>29140768
are there brokers that handle things like this for a reasonable commission?
>>
>>29140764
By "pain in the ass" do you mean "losing money"?
>>
>>29140769
Yeah, they're called car dealers.
>>
>>29140792
>>29140797
Well I assume I could sell it back to the dealer I bought it from for next to zero hassle, but they're going to take a big chunk out for themselves. Would rather try to find a better deal for myself without too much extra bullshit.

You're gonna have broke niggas offering you $20k + their 100k mile Altima every single day. Or some super sketchy dude with a gun and stacks of money in his profile pic offering to pay cash if you meet him in the parking lot of the shadiest strip joint in town.

You will always take a hit if you want a quick easy sale.

Even if a legitimate dealership would agree to consignment (they wont) their fee isn't going to be like 50 bucks lol, they are going to expect 5 grand and want negotiating room down from Bluebook so expect like a 10k loss on the value of your car which is what's most of those CarMax, carvana, Luther buys cars (actual good offers) etc places will just give you same day.

Trade ins typically give you a better deal but if your looking to liquidate you either need to deal with people yourself or eat the haircut.

Either way though you're kind of in a shitty spot right now because your end is usually when new inventory prices get really competitive, interest rates are high and they get higher the older the car is, and 5-year financing from 2022 year models is going to start ending which means the post COVID inventory is going to start flooding into the market over the next year.

The best time to sell was literally this summer. Next summer might be okay.

You can just continually list on Cars and Bids or bring a trailer if it's actually a desirable car, but no reserve auctions don't really do well.

If you can't get 60k for your car, it's not worth 60k dumbass.
>>
the way to sell it easily and quickly is to sell it under market to a business
the way to sell it without losing as much money is to diy and deal with the retarded, scammers, and general human detritus that try and buy private party
how much do you value your time?
>>
>>29140764
>how do you generally go about selling it in a way that's not a huge pain in the ass?
Either run the fucker down until it's worth 15 grand, or accept you're gonna take a 20-50% haircut on it.
>>
>>29140764
Buying and selling cars is the worst part of owning them. This is true regardless of price bracket, make or model.
Thats why entire businesses have cropped up trying to make the process easier, and the absolute best they can do is make it somewhat bearable.
>>
>>29140846
who do we blame for this?
>>
>>29140889
Its just how our culture is now, but the real answer is jews
>>
>>29140889
30% is paperwork requirements from various state agencies
5% is irs reporting requirements
60% is scammy jews who imported almost as scammy browns
5% is black criminals

Stop being poor, OP. Richfags don't care about depreciation.
t. poorfag with a richfag mentality
>>
>>29140764
Make sure services and records are up to date, tyres have plenty of tread etc.. Get the car detailed professionally. Shoot a lot of clear pics in the golden hour. Choose about ten and enhance them in Paint Shop. Write story. Buy an ad on Carsales.com.au. Wait patently. Always works for me.

Nobody bothers to consider that maybe the mustang just wasn't that good.
>>
>>29141310
how do they pay you, with a bank check?
>>
Sell it to military guys, preferably white, older dudes. They have cash/loans and like wasting money on cars. You'll most likely have to do a bank transfer though.
>>
>>29140912
what about the boomers who assume that it is their birthright to sell above market and buy below it?
>>
>>29141628
scammy jews
>>
>>29141616
Always EFT (electronic funds transfer) these days in Oz. Instant non-refundable payment. We don't use paper checks here.
>>
>>29141871
and that's a smooth process for you? i've found that anything over roughly $30k starts to get exponentially more difficult to sell private party. i'm talking usd too, so in aud $60k in the op is more like $90k.
