Out of the four trucks.>1980-83 toyota pick up 4x4>jeep comanche 4x4>ford ranger 88-90 4x4>nissan d21 hardbody 4x4 All four are considered to utility trucks that are the last of their kind.
Ranger, especially the 2.3. Probably want to turbo it if running tires like that.
Ranger.
>>29140934Thats tough choice since ive seen that specific toyota, the ranger , and the Nissan hardbody survive the negligence of my grandfathers ownership.
>>29140934
>>29140934Ranger.
>>29140938>>29140944>>29140942Why the ranger compared to the others
>>291409352.5 is were its at
>>29140942My dad had this exact generation of ranger.
>>29140946Jeeps are associated with women. The other 2 are Japanese. That leaves the Ranger as the only acceptable choice.
>>29140934Love my Comanche, have sold rangers before, XJ/MJ has a solid front axle, IFS is for kids
>>29140934Ranger
>>29141009How many cars do you own because you always say you love this love that. And what ranger years can you recommend me with desired engine platforms
>>29140934>utility>can't tow anything>can't haul anything>can't sleep in themThey're all gay little Barbie toys.
>>29140934A rebuild kit for the ranger is $800
>>29140934Can I get one that wasn't modded by a dude with compensation issues? If yes, Ranger. If no, Jeep.
>>29140934The real question here is 22re/22r vs fords lima 2.3 and 2.5 because those are bullet proof motors.
>>29141033I have a shit ton of cars and trucks easily over 20The ranger was a v6 Vulcan which seemed like a pretty reliable motor they put them in a lot of different vehicles, I believe they were also in the Taurus and it seemed to have plenty of power for that small truck
>>29140934Either the ranger or the toyota since its an imported hilux
>>29140935>>29140952Fuck no.Ford removed the 4 banger option for suoercab 4x4 rangers in like '92 because they were utterly gutless.83-89 TTBs were Dana 28, 90-97 were (mostly) Dana 35s.Most 93-97 4 bangers (and some standard cab V6s) had a Dana 35 housing with Dana 28 internals and are junk. Real 35s have ribs on the center section, the hybrids are smooth.1st gens are fine if you like the feel of the prehistoric interior and plan to upgrade components but the 2nd gen is a much better truck overall.
>>29141034Can load dirtbikes in the bed.Can tow a jetski or fishing boat. Can pack full of pallets for bonfire at the beach.1,200 to 1,650 pound bed capacity depending on cab configuration (2nd gen ranger) which is potemtially (40+) 8x8x16 cinder blocks.Small, agile 4x4 for trails. More than large enough to drag deer or even a moose out of the forest.Great for day trips to the ski lodge after a fresh snowstorm before the roads have been plowed. But go ahead and tell us more about your life where none of that happens and you only need a truck to haul 50 sheets of drywall.
>>29140934I'll walk. Why do browns like to lift their trucks so much?
>>29140934D21, the comanche could be a piece of shit 2.8, even if it's a 4.0 it's a renix, Toyota will rust to dust, ranger just has anemic engine choices and bad gearing, s10 at least has a 4.3, no B2600 or pup?
>>29141515you stupid bro? browns lower truckstiny mexican getting into huge truck notwithstanding
>>29141516Sure lets add those
>>29141515Besser schlecht fahren als stolz laufen
>>29141516>bad gearing3.08-4.56 options from the factory.Mine came with 3.73s
>>29141034This, good little runabouts though
>>29141034>>29141556I clearly remember those old toyotas could tow back in the day i used to see these towing boats and enclosed trailers
>>29140934comanche cause its quirky and will get me attention from my friends
>>29141571I remember driving a 22re powered one and saying “wow this fuckin sucks it can barely get out of its own way”
>>29141479A 2.5 with the head and of a 2.3 and the silencer delete. Grind the crank to accept 250 chevy rods get a set of Keith black pistos to go with the rods. Open the exhaust ports. They make some really hot cams for this engine. You would be surprised at how much you can get out of it. It does cost some bucks.
>>29141540Iirc most of them were 3.73, not as bad as the 3.42s in the 4 cylinder s10's, but the jdm trucks were in the 4.30-4.56 range
>>29140934The Commanche but only if it's the 4.0
>>29140934Tough one. Comanche is as bulletproof as the others if it has the 4.0. 22r/22re speaks for itself. I see Hardbodies everywhere around me still running great with minimal rust, and we salt roads a lot here. Ranger is solid too, but they eat a fuck ton of gas for low power. Probably say the Toyota pickup.
>>29141493I need to haul trailers, travel trailers that are 2 tons. Plus my car trailer from time to time. 90% of the time a Ranger would do though I have a full sized truck for this reason.
>>29141585They are all fucking underpowered, this is a pick your poison kind of deal
>>29141755The 22r is fucking gutless dude, my 22r Toyota gets its ass whooped by my 4.0 Comanche
>>29140934D21.>>29141571I saw a turbo one back in May.
>>29141700Different tools for different jobs.Im not going to tow my circle track car with the ranger and im not taking my fullsize long bed out on the trails.Mini trucks have their place. Just like a dually has its place.
>>29141766>bigger engine with more more cylinders and more horsepower is more powerful than smaller engine with less cylinders and less horsepowerYou should work homicide my man, your powers of deduction are uncanny.
