What are some good half-boot trail runner type shoes? I need to be able to chase people down but then not worry about my shoes coming off once I’ve caught them. I like the Estonian models since Alfa (the og norwegian brand) is now made in Romania. It's also not as wide.Zamberland makes the best designed boots. Some can be a bit narrow so I look for wider models. They excel at designs that minimize stitching (one piece of leather for less water leakage.)As I get older though I look for boots/shoes that weigh less ideally less than 3 pounds per pair. Danner's are way too heavy. If i'm wearing something that heavy outdoors im switching to rubber boots cause its wet and mucky.
