Kind of an insane take to think you aren't spreading the same invasive species as the dog is. You do go outside don't you?

He is all-terrain. The little guy have the endurance of a tri-athlete I swear. He is never tired after a hike unless it is all uphill

Mini Austrailian Shepherd. He is only 30lbs, but he has crazy athleticism. He was doing long hikes before he was even 1 year old. I think that made a big difference. On trails I can have him off-leash, and he will walk in step with me. Hikes are massively improved with a dog. He's my first dog ever, and I didn't get him until I was 26

Yeah that's how my dog is too. We'll get done hiking some steep mounyain, he'll run up the trail and back and essentially run the trail four or more time by the time we get backto the car and he still wants to run. I think a lot of dogs are like that besides like Mastiff type dogs. Hiking is tons better with a dog but some asocial retards never have experienced it so they cry about other people doing it. Have fun with the dog

Also I generally have him off leash but these trails were on some crazy steep hills and I don't trust him to not chase a squirrel off the side of the trail yet lol. I don't mind when it's a bit flatter and he's generally off leash as much as possible.

Does anyone with a long furred dog trim their fur between the pads when it snows? Mine will get snow stuck to the fur between the pads which then turns to ice balls, assuming we are out long enough. They seem to annoy him and he will lie down and lick at them intensely. Ill then remove them manually, but they usually come back within 15-20 minutes or so. Ive heard people trim the fur, but doesn't that remove insulation? I was thinking, maybe wax the fur with beeswax or Vaseline instead? Curios if anyone has a solution or experience regarding this?

I trim the paws and use a wax mixture recipe I found on the internet thatis a rip off of musher's secret. It works great
>>
>>2859594
Do you have an electric trimmer for that and do you have a link to the recipe? Thanks

Yeah I just use an electric trimmer and a tiny pair of scissors. Takes like 10 minutes to trim.

Hmm a field bred Gordon in Oregon. He’s gotta be Springset bred right? Maybe Tallgrass? They’ve both been pumping out damn fine bird dogs for a long time. Excellent grouse and chukar dogs.

Same actually, although I'm not going to ask to meet up or anything though because I just enjoy going /out/ alone (or with my dog). What are your favorite places in the area?
