/out/ with dog
that is one of the most beautiful coastlines i've ever seen. where is this?
>>2857717California. Big Sur
Reminds me of Oregon
>>2857788Dogs have gallons more personality than you have unfortunately.
>>2857694>>2857825Beautiful lands, but you couldn't pay me to move there. Wish those place were a bit more livable. They're so anti-people these days, it's crazy.
>>2857866I don't know Oregon hasn't really ever felt bad. But I live on the opposite side from Portland. The only insane people are the Mexicans but the /out/ is great in southern Oregon
>>2857876Kind of an insane take to think you aren't spreading the same invasive species as the dog is. You do go outside don't you?
>>2857934>>2857963Based dogs
>>2858436ahhhh, the Australian pointer, beautiful specimen man.and contributing
>>2858436>>2858444based dogchadsthere are few simple joys purer than walking through the woods with your best friend.
>>2858444That a husky or GSD?
>>2857962Man Gordon’s are gorgeous animals.
>>2859022Not onlygorgeous but they're the smartest dogs I've met. They have a wonderful personality. 10/10 breed
>>2857934big fan of this image
He is all-terrain. The little guy have the endurance of a tri-athlete I swear. He is never tired after a hike unless it is all uphill
>>2859241Border collie?
>>2859295Mini Austrailian Shepherd. He is only 30lbs, but he has crazy athleticism. He was doing long hikes before he was even 1 year old. I think that made a big difference. On trails I can have him off-leash, and he will walk in step with me. Hikes are massively improved with a dog. He's my first dog ever, and I didn't get him until I was 26
>>2859295Another picture for reference
>>2859300Yeah that's how my dog is too. We'll get done hiking some steep mounyain, he'll run up the trail and back and essentially run the trail four or more time by the time we get backto the car and he still wants to run. I think a lot of dogs are like that besides like Mastiff type dogs. Hiking is tons better with a dog but some asocial retards never have experienced it so they cry about other people doing it. Have fun with the dog
>>2859300>>2859309Same with my dog. Australian cattle dog. He is a crazy little fucker but I fucking love him. Herding dogs are great if you're an /out/ person
>>2859328Also I generally have him off leash but these trails were on some crazy steep hills and I don't trust him to not chase a squirrel off the side of the trail yet lol. I don't mind when it's a bit flatter and he's generally off leash as much as possible.
Love hiking with the Canis lupus familiaris, me.
>>2859021Both!
>>2859394Does anyone with a long furred dog trim their fur between the pads when it snows? Mine will get snow stuck to the fur between the pads which then turns to ice balls, assuming we are out long enough. They seem to annoy him and he will lie down and lick at them intensely. Ill then remove them manually, but they usually come back within 15-20 minutes or so. Ive heard people trim the fur, but doesn't that remove insulation? I was thinking, maybe wax the fur with beeswax or Vaseline instead? Curios if anyone has a solution or experience regarding this?
>>2859580I trim the paws and use a wax mixture recipe I found on the internet thatis a rip off of musher's secret. It works great
>>2859594Do you have an electric trimmer for that and do you have a link to the recipe? Thanks
>>2859625Yeah I just use an electric trimmer and a tiny pair of scissors. Takes like 10 minutes to trim.https://poodlesense.com/diy-mushers-secret-dog-paw-wax/
My boye has been to more places than most people. He also behaves better than most people.
>>2859628Hmm a field bred Gordon in Oregon. He’s gotta be Springset bred right? Maybe Tallgrass? They’ve both been pumping out damn fine bird dogs for a long time. Excellent grouse and chukar dogs.
>>2859658Yeah he's a Springset dog. I live like 45 mi utes from their kennel. I got him when he was already one. Super smart and birdy dog
>>2859670This guy knows ball.
>>2859674The pain in that dog's eyes, I'm guessing you forbade him to splash around in that stream?
Out with dog today
>>2859900Playing fetch in the cold water
>>2859900Why does he look so smug?
>>2860028He saw my dick basically become a micropenis after I jumped in this freezing cold waterhole in the middle of nowhere so maybe that's why he's looking at me like that
>>2859900Piedras Blancas? I was up near there the other day
>>2860056Yes that's it. My first time going back there since last winter actually. Do you live in Ventura county?
>>2859843>projecting your weird little fantasy onto my dogget lost retard
>>2860237>sperging out over an obvious jokelighten up nerd.my last dog was a lab who would absolutely spaz out at the merest hint of water.>Rosary Lakes (western OR) hike with gf>lake near the summit>.5 mile away from said lake, dog picks up scent of water>runs full tilt to the waterRIP Tuxy, you were best boy.
>>2860183Yeah Ventura proper, wbu?
>>2860245Same actually, although I'm not going to ask to meet up or anything though because I just enjoy going /out/ alone (or with my dog). What are your favorite places in the area?
